This time is not perfect, but it ensures that the baby maintains a  healthy average tempature, and that the cost remains decent. We make this so by ensuring that within the incubator the babies keep a low time outside the healthy range, a low cost, so that we make as many as possible and make sure that families can afford them, and to maintain a decent average temperature of the baby.

The science behind them is that well we had to keep all the factors of both of the types of PCM's we used in mind. PCM B has tempature plateaus at 38.6 degrees celcius, we used two of these, so these are definately okay in the tempature range. But, the time that the plateaus last is short, so we used two PCM C's so that they would last longer, because PCM C has longer plateaus. PCM B has a very short reheat time, which is helpful, and its cost is low. With the combinations of our PCM's, our incubator design is overall better, which is why we chose them, to do as they did: keep temperatures elevated. ]]> 2018-04-26 12:07:11 UTC https://padlet.com/drewyor_kayla/bsawmhl3zel4/wish/255595443 drewyor_kayla https://padlet.com/drewyor_kayla/bsawmhl3zel4/wish/255598488 We absolutely want to ensure that families everywhere will be able to afford a incubator so that their baby can survive. If a baby is in need of a incubator to survive, but its family can not afford to have one, then it is likely their baby will die, this is extraordinarily unfortunate loss saying that  if only the cost of the incubator was lower, then their baby could be saved. Also, sometimes a family can not provide an incubator for their baby, because there is not one anywhere in the area. See we want to make sure that incubators will be available for everyone, everywhere. So, by Keeping the cost low, it ensures that we can make more incubators, so that they will be found accessible to everyone. In this design that we used the total cost was much lower than our other design. We have a healthier temperature range than the other design our other design, had 36.8 degrees and was under 37 degrees. Our previous incubator had a much better temperature outside the healthy range at 57 minutes. But, the cost was on the high side, and the average temperature on the low. So, here was where we had to make a trade-off. In our need to get the average temperature up, and the cost lower, we had to sacrifice our excellent time outside the healthy range, for a much higher one.
