         <description><![CDATA[<div>When learning choreography for a musical, the cast followed along to the movements of the choreographer. We did not try to memorize movements by simply sitting and watching her. We were actively involved, mirroring her steps.<br><br>When I learned how to knit, I watched other people knit while also doing it myself. I had to practice quite a bit before I became good at it.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After completing a lab in physics or chemistry, we were required to analyze our results. Often the results alone were not enough to answer a question, so we needed to think about them further to explain what the results show.<br><br>In my English classes, we often annotate our readings. This makes us think more about the work, the author, the audience, the theme, the use of certain grammar or vocabulary, etc.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chemistry lab requires students to work in pairs. Working together allows us to discuss the assignment or task while bouncing ideas off of each other.<br><br>Many of my online classes have students make discussion posts. Students post their own and respond to others. It allows us to think about and discuss questions or readings with other students.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When learning about derivatives and integrals in calculus, my teacher used real world problems/examples to explain what they were. Speed and acceleration were the best examples we were given, and they were able to clarify the definitions very well.<br><br>In my Teaching class, at the beginning of the semester, everyone designed a classroom with various students. Throughout the semester, we applied our work to our imaginary classrooms. We needed to take into account students with disabilities or who need other accommodations .</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I took a class that essentially taught how to be successful in college and afterwards. We had to write important dates and assignments down on a calendar and we were given many tips about how to get a job or internship.<br><br>In my Teaching Elementary math class, we were discussing math that we already knew, but from a teaching perspective. We had to learn how to teach math to children, because it is completely different from teaching teens or adults.</div>]]></description>
