George- George is a man who has a lot of responsibilty on his shoulders. George can also be a natural leader in the novel. Sometimes george can be a dreamer especially when it comes to his well being and his happenese. A dream he has is about owning his own peice of land with lennie one day. He's really just someone who cares about people especially Lennie.

Lennie- Lennie is someone who looks up to George for guidance and he is deeply loyal to George. Lennie has a habit of petting soft thing which often leads to trouble. Lennie has a lack of control especially over his strength. Lennie often causes trouble for everyone and it questions everyone if he belongs into a mental institute.

Plot

The plot of mice and men is George and Lennie are two migrant ranch workers during the great depression. They both have a dream of owning a peice of land one day together. they both travel to their new job in california on a ranch. They moved and got a new job because of lennie not being able to control himself . Once they get to the Ranch they met new people like candy and curley and slim. they face some challenges but that doesnt stop lennie and george from making their dream come true. Shortly there dream doesnt think itll happen because lennie had done something lennie had killed curleys wife. This makes everyone question geroge including lennie this leads george to make a hard decison killing lennie.

The arrival at the ranch- this is important because when they arrive at their new job new characters get introuduced like curley,curleys wife, crooks, and slim this sets the novel at when all the drama begins.
The Dream- I find this a important event because their dream is what keeps geroge and lennie going about some day owning their own peice of land one day this shows that they have something to hold onto and rememebr when things get comlicated for them.
Curleys wife- I feel like this is a important event because the novel shows how lonley curleys wife is and wants attention from the workers especially lennie.
Lennies strength- This is something important because Lennie cant control his own strenght leading him to do unquestionable things like killng curleys wife.

Something I have learned was friendship and sacrafice lennie and George set a good example of that because in the beggining of the novel george truly cared about lennie and was the bigger brother for him and always had his back but when Lennie had killed Curleys wife George knew what he had to do because he had cared for lennie and he didnt want lennie to suffer if curley had caught him because curley would had made him suffer. He would have had a brutal death geroge cared about lennie that he wanted his last moments to be peaceful. so Ive learned that caring about someone also makes you make decions to which itll ruin you friendship but runing means you cared about that person and you did it for a reason.

I recommend people who are intrested in knowing what friendships are and what struggles can be like especially if you have a big dream you want to come true. People can learn a lot about struggling and friendships and uncontrolable strength. Lennie and geroge set a good example of learning these topics because of what lennie had done to curleys wife and what geroge had to do to lennie despite their relationship.

He was a american author he is known for his realistic and heartfelting writings. He had won a award of grapes of wrath which is about migrant farm workers. John Steinbeck died at the age of 66 on december 20th 1968.
