In the book, Julie  was accepted in a pack of wolves, one of those wolves is Kapu,  Kapu is one of the pups, hyper, happy, and bright. If Kapu knew Julie's problem, he'd probably would be pretty melancholy, and want to go too! I know this because in Julie of the Wolves the text says, "Kapu looked back in surprise."
