Energy can change because in the Phet lab we did when the bike was powering a wheel we saw mechanical energy change to electrical energy and then power a light bulb releasing light energy. One example of energy changing is, when you plug in your phone to a charger little electrons go through the cord which is electrical energy and when you put on the flashlight on your phone the electrical energy changes to light energy. Energy changes all the time because we move which is mechanical energy and then we interact with something else changing any of the six common energys. However you cannot destroy or create energy because everything is potential energy, and you cannot break the law of conservation of Energy.

An object can transfer more than one energy. An example of this is, when you start a campfire it transfers the three heat transfer mechanisms, radiation, conduction, and convection. The reason an object can transfer more than one energy is because when you have a light bulb it lights up but also gets hot and that is more than one type of energy becoming waste energy. This is how objects can transfer more than one type of energy.
