These annotated pages can be shared with others who can add their own notes as individuals or groups. Diigo can also be accessed by any device that has browsing capabilities. Basic Diigo is free, but there are standard and professional plans that cost $5 and $6 a month respectively (educators get an updated plan for free).

This tool gives students, especially young ones, a visual representation of the interconnectedness of thought and ideas.  The basic Bubbl.us is free, but to get use of more than three maps requires a $6 a month subscription ($3 a month for teachers.
