My birthday is on August 9, 2008 and has graduated elementary in Proverbs Ville Christian School. After elementary, I was supposed to be enrolled in Precious International School of Davao, but I somehow stumbled upon Ateneo de Davao University and graduated Junior Highschool there.

Early on in my life during my elementary days, I used to join math competitions even though I did not get the grasp on what was at stake. So it resulted to me joining for fun and not taking the competitions seriously. But I have used media in this instance for searchingg for information regarding this matter.

My family has owned many different animals such as dogs, chickens, birds, etc. Our current pets would be cats. We have too much cats that I am not sure how much we own. We used media in order to do further research on how to take care of them.

During the pandemic days, I was introduced to games as my sanity during isolation was holding on by a thread. This has led me to join intramural tournaments during Grade 10! This has heavily increased my media consumption on games and social media

I can play multiple instruments but I mainly focus on playing the guitar. In my old school, we were forced to pick out an instrument to focus on and I primarily picked drums and keyboard. But all of a sudden, I picked up a guitar and focused on it eversince.

Media for the Better

As an Atenean, I could use Media to do what is good. This can be done through doing many advocacies that can raise awareness to those who are voiceless. As a learner here in Ateneo, it is a privilege to be given a platform to raise what is right and calling out what is wrong. An example of this would be through helping our partner institution in Grade 9 and doing Tulong Dunong which is a program to tutor learners with their struggling subjects primarily math and english.

Overall, my lifestyle consists of media being integrated into my life. It has seen positive influences as media can be a tool to empower those who are in need. Media for information, such as learning songs. It is indeed a very powerful tool that we should use responsibly. I prefer these types of media as individuals can freely express themselves. This can be done by songs or games. However, there are instances wherein I consume to much media such as Instagram and TikTok to the point that I don't get my assignments done. One way I can combat this is through regulating my screen time and using media for academic purposes such as research. As mentioned earlier, using these online platforms is important to raise what is good as ideal Ateneans. We should know and differentiate what is good and bad. In this era/generation, media plays an important role and is very influential in daily life. It is important to reflect upon media consumption, whether it is taking a toll on you in a negative way.
