Later in the book, it is revealed that no matter how much Sula cares about Nel, she doesn't think about how her actions affect her. - The theme good vs evil demonstrates how in times the good is not always viewed as the correct way to think of things, but the evil is also viewed as incorrect as well. An example could be that Eva abandoning her children can show good, as she left them with a better place than she could've provided, but bad because she had abandoned her children. It shows good vs evil is subjective and can be thought of in different lights and perspectives even today.

2. Toni separated the chapters into years to create a chronological story that portrays the relationship between Nel and Sula. Making the story follow a chronological order shows how the two women met, grew up, and became estranged over time. It is also important that the story set up both characters' backgrounds at the beginning to better show the contrast between the two.
3. Ajax is only attracted to Sula in the first place because she defies the societal norms for women. Sula's attachment dries him away because it turns her into a more standard woman for thee time. Ajax doesn't think that she is unique anymore and what brought him to her is no longer there.
4. Most of Morrison's characters are totally void of any morality. They constantly do things that sere only to help them and have disastrous consequences for the people around them. Eva burns her son alive after learning about his heroin addiction. Even though they had a great time I believe that it had gotten to a point where it was to much and he didn't think he should put up with stuff like that in a relationship and people do this now a days. People leave the other partner when there not happy or dont see a solution to fixing the problem, and this leads to divorces or breakups.
