People is constantly throwing away clothes, or in need of new ways to repurpose no longer needed garments.
So i would like to create a recycled fashion materials library/atelier. It can become a space for people interested in sustainable and/or circular fashion to find like minded people.
Some of the things to watch out for would be that, when such a seemingly "eco friendly" way of disposing things is readily available, people might not give it much thought for other methods of repurposing them (hence diminishing emotional durability, for example). Also, some pieces donated to the materials libary might not be in such a good condition as expected.

The classes and things they will be able to learn in our space willl enable them to strenghthen their views on the importance of circularity and environmental impact reduced through our actions at the library/attelier

The 9 R strategies at the center of our entrepreneurship are as below:
Reduce and refuse-- the consumption of new
Reuse, repair, recycle and repurpose--the existing
As part of the main activities, we need to look for donors of materials, promote the shop on different platforms and edate people about it.
What do we do? How do we do it? Who can come to the shop? What kind of materials do we receive? In what conditions? How can people contribute in other ways other than materials?
All of these questions should be answered through our social media sites.
We'll need to curate and organize the materials received, and plan for the classes.

Along the last days i performed a small survey among people of different backgrounds.
The concept i am aiming for is not new, it is something that is widely used: libraries of used materials and reused clothes, however there is none in our community nor the nearby areas, hence, it can bring a sense of "newness" to the concept and spark curiosity from people in our community.
From the legal point of view, some of the people i spoke with wondered under what denomination we would have to operate.
Should we call it a recycle caffe? Or an after school program place (because of the possible classes we'll have)
When asking about the unforseen impact, someone mentioned that some people make take advantage and barely bring a piece of tshirt, but upcycle it to a whole new purse, for example. So in order to avoid these hapennings, a tight system should be created.

Our library will help people get organized about things they could reutilize and reouroose, it will teach them the value of circularity and sustainability and promote a sense of community through colaboration while donating materials for the library.
Among the effects is that people will learn to be more mindful of their consumption and promote creativity (for the repurposing of current possesions)
It will contribute to change the local fashion, as more unique pieces from the upcycles will be shown around, and it might even collaborate on changing the fast fashion consumption)

This space seems to be able to be procured with the help of tne neighborhood associations that will intercede for us to have a small office at the local culture center.
