Looking back at the story now is even more meaningful than when I was a child. In the book, the child is young and loves the tree which represents his parents. In the end, he continues to take more and more from the tree, and is leaving it alone and bare, but the tree gives everything it has. This is like what we do to our parents and it shows the unconditional love they give us. Looking back on it, my parents would read me that and it was their way of telling me they would do anything for me and my siblings. He used to call me sunshine and said my smile always brightened the room. Whenever I see a painting of the sun, it always makes me think of the infinite impact he made on me. He was always so positive and bright, so I do my best everyday to be just as positive and bright no matter what else is going on in the world. Also, ever since I was little, I loved sunsets and sunrises. I even watch it now anytime I am home sick. It taught me about hardships in life and helped me through hard times. Vada experiences a lot of loss in her early life, and also did not fit in with friends from school. When I was younger I had similar experiences and watching this movie made me feel like I could relate to her. It is one of my favorite songs and it brings back amazing memories from performing and rehearsing all spring. This song means a lot to me and also closely reflected my relationship with my duet partner. Whenever I hear this song, I will be able to think back on the great time in my life filled with freedom happiness and love. It also will remind me of my experience in the music department here at NPHS which is my favorite thing about high school.
