DuBois:</strong> Championed civil rights, higher education, and political activism. He co-founded the NAACP and advocated for the "Talented Tenth" — the idea that a small, educated elite could lead the fight for equality.</p></li><li><p><strong>Alonzo Herndon:</strong> A successful businessman who founded the Atlanta Life Insurance Company.
