I liked the intimate feel of the Studies Weekly materials – I think the kids would like having their own newspaper to read, and much of the information is high-interest.
 
The Clairmont book seems to cover the standards the best of the materials under review.  
 
Dicovery Ed. has great visuals and some interesting info and overall a nice presentation.  Don’t like the fact that it’s only digital – see below.
 
Clairmont and Discovery have nice maps; S. Weekly is OK.
