I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and believe in all the Christian teachings. I grew up going to a Lutheran Church in Houston and also grew up going to a Church Camp every summer that help to influence my faith and make it more of my own. Now that I am living in Denton, I attend The Village Church in Flower Mound and am very involved in the beautiful ministry that the church provides for college students like myself. It is a spiritual experience that allows me to feel more one with my God and just helps to enhance my faith. I prefer to be in the experience around other people who are worshipping and singing with me. When I am by myself, the same songs do not have the same effect on me compared to when I am in a group and worshipping with them. I love the chills I get and the freedom I experience worshipping with fellow believers. Music is a way to express emotions and express beliefs and ideas. Go to a concert where you can stand and be amongst other fans and people who have similar music taste. Being apart of an experience where you are dancing, singing along, taking in every aspect of the setting, lights, and sounds just gives you an appreciation of the art that is music. The Grateful Dead following was so interesting to read about and to see how for people this was their spirituality and they believed in everything that The Grateful Dead stood for. That is the same with followings of other religions such as Hinduism and how music plays a role in their beliefs and culture. You would never of thought a band could bring about such a following of devout believers.
