PA is a new concept adopted throughout the world to increase production, reduce labor time, and ensure the effective management of fertilizers and irrigation processes. For example in using drone to spray pesticide, using GPS for mapping land and etc. its to improve production of crop and adapting based on current environment&nbsp;<br><br>- a key component of this farm management approach is the use of information technology and a wide array of items such as GPS guidance, control systems, sensors, robotics, drones, autonomous vehicles, variable rate technology, GPS-based soil sampling, automated hardware, telematics, and software<br><br><br></div><ul><li>Precision agriculture is helpful for growers and the environment as well. Moreover, these areas are interconnected since environmental degradation worsens conditions for agriculture. A way more complex and not embodied knowledge.&nbsp;<br><br>Precision agriculture aim to improve yield and level of inputs used which lead to better production efficiency, improved field operational logistic, identification of crops problems as well as to reduce production risk.&nbsp;<br><br>Among technological components used in Precision Technology are :-<br><br>a. Global Positioning System (GPS)<br>b. Geographic Information System (GIS)<br>c. Variable Rate Application (VRA)<br>d. Decision Support System (DSS)&nbsp;<br><br>All these above form of systems and technologies need proficiency in using of technology whereas &gt;50% of our farmers are old folks whom are less in digital literacy skills.&nbsp;<br><br>However, as world moves further into technology, farmers need to eventually adapt to climate-smart agriculture which are efficient, cost-effective, practical and pollution free. With IoT based precision agriculture, growers can control all the most critical information: from air temperature to soil conditions.
