Yes, Singapore's education system prepares us for the future:

- Students can choose their own subjects; would probably know what they want to do in life
- Holistic development; changing of focus of education system in recent years.
- Provides foundation skills that gradually build up (e.g History Judgement skills)
- Compulsory CCA helps develop skills like teamwork/communication skills, Opportunities for developing leadership skills
-CCE lessons (No longer too occupied in pursuing academic excellence)

No, Singapore's education does not prepare us for the future:

- Need to be innovative in the future in order to stay relevant, need to explore new frontiers (which SG edu syst does not encourage)'
-Education system tends to largely run on academic achievements (tendency to disregard other abilities in other areas like art/music; not given enough attention for development)
-Skills prepped for the future usually exclusive to people with good grades/results (e.g top 25%) = remaining population unable to access these opportunities (give disadvantage)
- Exam-oriented
-Restrictions to creative thinking (primarily doing tests, quizzes that are based on memorization/recalling/content-based that is not relevant in the future)
-More emphasis on Maths/Science subjects (Arts & related subs tend to be looked down upon)
-SG Edu syst does not prepare us mentally/psychologically for the future (unpredictable)

Yes.
-Singapore's education teaches us on how to be an independent learner. Being independent also teaches us the skill of being responsibility, individually as well as in a group. ( working environment in the future, good rapport with colleagues and boss)
- Also gives us a basic context on how society in Singapore works (Social studies)
- Values learned in school --> develop us into a all rounded person in the future ( good academics + character) For example, through CCE program.

No.
- Education system may be too rigid. Schools in Singapore might have a more academic-based system and students may be given little opportunity to be creative
