Elephant grass: This plant tends to grow near river beds where the soil is moist. It grows in 10 ft. clumps with sharp edges. It reproduces with shoots.
Baobab: A tree that looks like it grew upside down. It's cork-like trunk stores water for the dry season.
Both plants keep close to the equator
African Elephant: These giant mammals have thick gray skin to protect from predator attacks. They are extremely social, and keep close to related elephants. They live in the savanna because of the large amount of food.
Egyptian Mongoose: The largest of African mongooses, they live underground. They are shy and only leave the burrows for food, being an omnivorous diet. They prefer wooded areas near water.
