Talking about the family, women have a strong role in the marriage because they can take care of their children and participate in different issues. In this sense, the family as an institution has changed, because women are as important as men in the fact of collaborating with the salary and working outside. In the 90’s we could not see these characteristics because women were only to keep the house. 

 

As regards the laboral aspect, thanks to the modification of laws, women have got not only more participation in the laboral market, but also, they have access to decide the fate of a business as a CEO, or to manage a country as a Minister or President as well. 

 

In other aspects, women have equaled men in many other jobs, for example women can drive a bus, truck or whatever they want. These marked changes have permitted women to manage in occupying the same jobs as men.

 

Traditionally, men and women had completely opposing roles, men were seen as the provider for the family and women were seen as the caretakers of both the home and the family. Today we see how women have built and marked a new paradigm where the society of knowledge is encouraging their active participation. Although there is a long way to go.

Today, we are surrounded by choice. Not only do we get to choose when we eat our food, but we are also provided with a vast selection of food choices. Takeaways, fast-food and ready meals have changed the way that meals are prepared and eaten. Why bother spending hours cooking when we can head to the supermarket and buy everything ready-made? 

Long gone are the hours spent slaving over the stove. Instead, convenience food has become much more popular, with people reaching for convenience foods and microwave meals several times a week.  In today’s world, we spend a lot more of our days dining out at restaurants than we did in the past. For our grandparents, eating out was likely to be a rare treat saved for special occasions.

In our grandparents’ day, learning how to cook was the only way to be sure of a good meal on the table, and it was usually done by the woman of the house. These days, cooking has become almost a hobby rather than a necessity.  When cooking their meals, many of our grandparents grew a lot of their own vegetables and shopped daily for groceries due to the lack of refrigeration. 

Food allergies and intolerances are more common now than they ever have been. This is often attributed to processed, unnatural and chemical-filled foods none of which were present back in our grandparents’ days. 

Even though there's no hard evidence to suggest that we're worse in the kitchen than we were in the past, we're just no better at it either.

The oldest and most traditional means of communication were always television, radio and newspapers. One could always find information in any of the three media. However, a disadvantage was the lateness of the news. It was said that the radio was always the first to transmit the latest information. On the other hand, the newspaper was the longest since the news appeared in the newspaper the other day

Another downside were the schedules. To know the news people were always broadcast at certain times. They were mostly at one in the afternoon or nine at night. Only at those times one could be informed. Some could, some couldn't. However, this has been changing in recent years.

 

Nowadays, the means used to communicate have been changing. This is due to the advancement of technology. Today, one is not aware of a radio or newspaper, but is always using the cell phone.

This is the most recent device that allows us to stay informed. Less and less paper is used and more digital is transmitted. The different news portals have had to be updated by creating digital pages to communicate. The good thing about this is that you are always on your cell phone. For ex; when you go shopping, for a walk or at work. Therefore we can always watch the news. Not only that is the positive, but also the schedules.

You can watch the news anytime you want. Each one adapts to its time and you do not have to wait for certain times to find out. The new media have benefited us completely.

Finally, technology allowed advances in communication. Today we are not only informed of what is happening around us but also of what is happening in the whole world. And you, what media do you use?

Considering as advantage, is evident these applications allow us to have access to general and specific information about whatever you want to buy, in a rapid way. This is something amazing since it is not necessary to go out and walking in order to look for what you want. It is like you have the market in your home. You see something and if it like you, you can get it and it is yours. Another positive characteristic is using the apps you can get important discounts because the companies generally public their sales firstly through their apps, via online every week.

As a disadvantage, some people do not use these app and any social network. They like to go out and buy their goods face to face, that is, talking to the seller. To this kind of people there is no app or social network which can persuade them to get a product or service. So here, we can understand why sometimes there is bad attention or you can see something unexpected in some local market. They are focused in the online clients because the products exposed are not clean or are in the store ready to be sold to online clients. Also buying via apps can make you buy something you do not know if it will work as you believe. 

To conclude, we can see how the market is changing little by little because the ways of communication is changing too. Big corporation and small business are gaining more consideration not only in the streets of towns and cities they also are present in our homes converting us as potential clients the 24hs of every day. There are pros and cons of this. The good new is we have options and choose whatever fit according to our needs.
