If a school assignment is a piece of cake, it's so easy that you will barely have to think about it.
Over the Moon means extremely pleased and happy. You can use the phrase 'Over the Moon' when describing your feeling when something great had happened to you. 
Break the Ice: to make people who have not met before feel more relaxed with each other: Someone suggested that we play a party game to break the ice.
Cross your mind: if an idea crosses your mind, you think about it for a short time.
Lose track: to no longer know what is happening, or not to remember something.
Take something on board: to consider an idea, problem, or situation and try to deal with it.
The final/last straw: the last in a series of unpleasant events that finally makes you feel that you cannot continue to accept a bad situation.
Turn a blind eye: to ignore something that you know is wrong.
