A lake is formed when
the ice of a mountain melts and accumulates in a hole and keeps filled for years and years.
The biggest lake in the world is called ”the Caspian Sea". It has 3,626,000m2 and occupies parts of Russia,Iran,Turkmenistan,
Kazakhstan and Azerbaizan.
Lakes can transmit sicknesses that are developed in still water, one example is the

schistosomiasis, because worm form starts in the water.

Deserts

The deserts have especifics plants for example Suculents: they can born in every place that have sand or dirt they don't need some water . Other example is Cactus: They keep water inside them and when they need water they use it they are xerophytic plants.
Ir the desert is of sand, at day is very hot so at night is very cold
Our animals can suport a very hot temperature and can stay a long time with no water
