Where there is smoke there is fire.
I would like to tell you a story about my first experience in
driving a car. It was about 5 years ago in Perm late autumn. Naturally all my
acquaintances were able to drive and got their licenses and as an
ambitious girl I wanted to keep up with them.
Fortunately, relatives recommended me a proper
driving school and even a teacher were found. I came dejectedly to the first
lesson understanding that I had never driven a car before. I was scared and felt confused. I was not mistaken in such feelings, because the teacher asked me immediately to start moving after few words about the vehicle.

Unsurprisingly I failed to move on the first try, but excitement in my blood did not let me give up. After a few tries I did manipulations correctly and eventually the car was set in motion. I was quite nervous, so was changing speeds during the first lesson awkwardly.

I was a hard-working student and apparently for my mother (but not for me) became the best student in my theoretic group according to objective scorings and in the practical group according to my teacher’s opinion.

Finally, I realized that excellent assessment from others encourages you to become better and to reach high results. Hopefully I passed the exam quickly and without extra tense. So I want to stress one more time that a positive feedback from others works like a fire, which supports your achievements.

When in Rome do as the Romans

I’d like to tell you about an <del>shameful</del> embarrassing story that happened to me on <del>my</del> the first vacation <del>in</del> of my life.

This happened in Rimini, Italy (🇮🇹). After a long flight and a couple of hours by train, my girlfriend Kate and I finally reached the city. But we still had to get from the train station to the hotel. Unsurprisingly, we were very tired and exhausted.

Since Uber didn't exist <del>then</del> there, we decided to get a city taxi. Fortunately, we found a waiting point at the entrance <del>to</del> of the station building. But there was a huge queue of passengers. And stupidly we decided to catch a taxi <del>by hand</del>, according to the old Russian tradition. 😅 We moved a little further away from the waiting point, walked along the road a couple of dozen meters and raised our <del>hand with a</del> thumbs.

Naturally, the taxis were passing <del>by</del> us without even slowing down. A few minutes later, one of the taxi drivers rolled down the window and shouted out in Italian: "Affaristo!» 😱 Eventually we felt awkward and went back to the waiting point and <del>get</del> got in line like other people. 🤐

Since then, I always try to check the local rules before I go on a trip.🚀🚀🚀

#italy #journey #whatashame #taxi #traditions

It was heartbreaking…

I remember my very first days here in Rostov on Don, I was trying to learn the city through exploring.

So I was somewhere between the old city part and the new one when heard a plaintive squeak. What I saw was heartbreaking. Five tiny, hungry kitties in the box, fighting with the cruel reality. Oh, I was so upset, angry and shocked at the same time! Why do people do this! The first thing that came up to my mind was to pick those little ones up and bring them home, but it was definitely not a good idea because my boyfriend doesn’t like cats. So I suggest finding a rescue center and inform them about this. They told me to deliver the box to them. So that was my mission! Before that, I dropped into the store and bought some milk and wet food for the little ones. Then I ordered a taxi and I went straight to the shelter to hand the kittens over. And that was the end of my mission. I hope they are doing well and have found loving parents! ❤️

This is a true lovestory and at the same time a huge tragedy for World wide.
I watched this movie when I was a teen. First of all this story is about social inequality in the beginning of the XX century.
One man wanted to marry one young girl. He was really rich and her mother was dreaming about this marriage. We know that her husband died and they had a lot of debts. Her mother got cold feet because the young girl was very independent and had opinion for that situation. Her fears were not in vain.
They went on a cruise before the marriage. After living several days with the fiance, the young girl got a full view of him and wanted to commit suicide. But one poor and very cheerful boy was there and saved her life. Since that time the girl had confessed that she did not want to carry a rich and empty life.

Finally, the ship sank, the boy died and the young girl changed her name because she wanted to live her full and interesting life. It was her first love which was more than only love. There was understanding of her life and her dreams.

So, the money in that situation is not the main thing.
