Here at ChanLam Cupcake Factory, we looked at this idea and saw a world of possibility. Within each cell are organelles all working together and running incredibly smoothly, like a factory. 
When we first set out to build the best cupcake factory in the world, we took our inspiration from nature and followed the intricate design of one basic unit- the cell.

But what happens to the bad cupcakes? Thanks to our cafeteria ladies we have a solution for that! Though unassuming, these ladies are actually involved in a very special process. They are the creators of the garbage disposal system! But how do they do it? Well, there's a simple answer for that- magic! After coming into contact with large quantities of Plutonium at a different  cupcake factory, they acquired some very special gifts. Made of reject cupcakes, it’s envious of our perfect, packaged product. It tracks the irresistible scent to our packages and rips it open to get to the cupcakes. When it eats, it breaks the product down into its basic ingredients. These ingredients can be reused for other things in the factory. Similarly, the lysosome contains digestive enzymes and acts as a ‘recycling system’ in the cell. When it fuses with a vesicle, the digestive enzymes break down the package into its subunits. Inside a single chloroplast are hundreds of stacked structures called grana. The grana contain chlorophyll molecules which can use solar energy to produce carbohydrates- energy for the plant. The solar panels used by ChanLam Cupcake Factory carry out a very similar function. Like the grana in a chloroplast, the solar panel is made up of many solar cells. In our factory, the wires take energy from the solar panels and allow it to be used to carry out a function. larger amounts of wires are found in places that need more energy. Going into the mixing room, for example, thick bundles of wires are used for the gigantic mixing machines to accommodate our huge vats of batter. This is like in a cell, most of the organelles are attached to the cytoskeleton. This is made of microtubules, intermediate filaments, and actin filaments. The cytoskelton also gives the cell shape. This is important for animal cells that don't have a cell wall because this gives them a defining shape.
