It is even now being used in grade schools straight through to universities. It will allow the user to immerse themselves in environments they never thought that they could experience. However the interaction with that environment will be paramount. We are on the cusp of this evolution, but also we need to make it accessible to everyone.</div>]]></description>

However we must include attention to detail to involve as many possible other types of learning based models within this ever changing paradigm. Although education is changing at a un-precedented rate, the human being is slowly catching up, no matter what age. So we must include a variety of models to ensure that this online pedagogically based model is accessible to every type of learner.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Virtual reality will likely get the most buzz in the next couple years, but it will take a lot longer to make any real impact in the typical institution. Today's high-end consumer VR requires a high-end computer and an $800 headset and still won't render text clear enough to read comfortably for any period of time. It will be a number of years yet before VR can offer both good quality and low price, and that's what it will take for education to embrace it.</div>]]></description>

This will build ground especially where training and learning need to be more “hands-on”. In terms of online and class learning, there will be an increase in gamification elements that will use elements from playing games to the video game world to motivate learners. Mobile learning will become more common in some industries, than by computer or tablet.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There will continue to be more of a move to agile development vs. ADDIE model in the corporate world. An emphasis on social learning will continue to grow. Adoption of social media and the availability of internal social media tools will strengthen, especially as more millennials join the workforce and the student body, as they are comfortable using these tools to relate to each other and learn. Adaptive learning will continue to be a trend as customization will gain further ground. Learning and training will be more designed to be customizable to each learner’s knowledge and skills (i.e. branching) vs. offering the same course to everyone with same sequence.</div>]]></description>

That said, I am starting to see more and more people using virtual assistants not only for personal use but also for business.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Attention spans are getting shorter, people are more mobile, and time is money in business... all that leads me to believe that micro-learning is going to be a big focus for corporations in the next couple of years. I already see it with my current clients - they are still packaging elearning courses in 30-45 minute increments, but they want each section to be no more than 3-5 minutes. This allows their employees to fit the course into their regular workday responsibilities without losing their progress. This could already be the norm in other sectors, but most large corporations I've worked with in Alberta have had a hard time responding in a timely way to emerging trends. - Amber (PS.
