I was a Kumon Assistant Teacher during the summers of 2015-2018. I started my Lasallian Journey in June 2016 when I was still in Senior High.

I guided students in primary and secondary education who encountered challenging items in their worksheets. In the mornings, I took part in Kumon's morning activity for the Kids called "Kinder-Kumon" wherein we sang and danced playfully along to nursery tunes. I also read them stories from Children's books which contained important lessons.

This experience was a turning point for me in regards to my attitude towards kids. Through this experience, I was able to see and realize that children have so much potential in them, and I enjoyed being a part of their growth.

Despite being in a Christian school, I was still hesitant about my faith. I was then encouraged by my sister to tag along in a spiritual retreat hosted by CCF.

I brought my best friend with me to share the experience. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed my time there, and I was enlightened – with my faith renewed.

Being a transferee was quite a hard experience for me as this led to my being delayed. I really didn't know anyone from the lower batch, but I was graciously adopted by these three wonderful people who I now consider to be my closest friends.

While thesis has been regarded as a make or break for friendships/relationships, it has certainly made us stronger. Armed with the ✨power of friendship✨, we're ready to conquer every challenge that comes our way! Kidding aside, it is our similarities and also our differences that certainly made us stronger.
