Identify a minimum of 3 similarities and 3 differences between Realism and Romanticism.

Realism focused on the real life problems with ordinary people. While Romanticism focused on the imagination, God, and individual feelings. Realism is aimed to fix problems that were caused by society while Romanticism tried to escape those problems. The similarities that the Romanticism and realists had is that in a way they both used to write about the sadness of the world, at the time realists were writing about what was going on in the US, which was the civil war, a very sad time. The Romanticism would write about Gothic literature, which is also a way to express sadness.
