It is very warm and there are many reptiles that live in the desert.<br>2.  A lot of New Mexico and Arizona is mountains and plateaus.  Mountain Ranges are separated by basins which are slightly hollowed areas of land.<br>3. The Grand Canyons is vast and at a point it can be 18 miles wide! At its deepest point the Grand Canyon is 6,00 feet deep. Below on the Grand Canyon there is a desert and the Colorado River. It is said that the Colorado River may have eroded the Grand Canyon and made it the Grand Canyon.</div>]]></description>

Texas and Oklahoma's climate is also very hot but not as dry as New Mexico and Arizona.<br>3. The Southwest is also part of something called a tornado alley. This means in these places tornadoes are more common than other places in the US. Tornadoes are destructive wind storms that are categorized as EF 1, EF, 2 EF 3, EF 4, and EF 5.</div>]]></description>

Most of New Mexico use their water for agriculture the most and they use power the least. <br>3. This past decade there has been a water shortage also known as droughts. A drought is a period of time where this is little or no rain. <br>4. Continuing from 3, the people in the Southwest are meeting the challenge of the water shortage.</div>]]></description>
