1. Informal assessments are just as important and valuable as formal assessment and that they need to be done more often.
2. Don't waste time on things they are frustrated with because it is not beneficial.
3. Running records can be a very valuable tool for assessing students reading behaviors.  Running records need to be on going.
4. Observation can be a great piece of informal assessment
5.
