Most enjoyable work environment:

The most enjoyable work environment during my internship was one that was supportive, friendly, and encouraging. I felt comfortable asking questions, and my team was always willing to guide me. The office had a positive vibe, and everyone respected each other's ideas.

Felt genuinely involved:

During my internship, I worked with the team to analyze government and private sector expenditure. I suggested using linear regression to forecast future trends. The team agreed, and I helped prepare the data and build the model. Being involved in the decision boosted my confidence. Our forecast helped the company compare spending patterns and plan more effectively for upcoming projects.

1 things to do to actively involve my team:

Ask for their input and ideas before making decisions, so everyone feels heard and part of the process.

Subtle signs of dysfunction:

Unclear roles – Confusion about who is responsible for what.

Frequent misunderstandings – Simple tasks often get miscommunicated.

Event that not goes as planned. What did i learned:

For example, during my internship, I had to present my data findings to a group of senior staff. I thought I was ready, but during the Q&A session, I got stuck on some unexpected questions. It didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped, and I felt a bit disappointed.

I realized that its not just about preparing slides, but really understanding the task well so I can handle different questions. I also learned that its okay not to know everything, as long as I stay calm and follow up later. It taught me to be better prepared and to see mistakes as part of learning.

2 negative beliefs to dispute:

a) I'm not good enough to succeed in my career.

Dispute: Everyone grows over time. Skills can be learned.

b) I'm too lazy and I will never change.

Dispute: Maybe I am feeling overwhelmed, tired, or unmotivated due to something else?

Diverse perspective led to creative solutions:

During my internship as a data analyst, my team was tasked with analyzing user feedback for a government service. I worked with interns from different backgrounds IT, public policy, and communications. While I focused on data trends, others suggested using visual storytelling. By combining our ideas, we produced a clear, engaging report that helped decision makers quickly understand key issues. The project showed me how different perspectives can lead to more creative and effective solutions.

2 key personal strengths (Protagonist (ENFJ-A):

a) Motivating Mentor

By inspiring teammates to believe in their abilities. This helps them build confidence and stay motivated throughout the project.

b) Effective Communication

Ensure everyone is on the same page by expressing ideas clearly and listening actively. This reduces confusion and helps the team stay focused and organized.

Most Enjoyable/Positive Woirk Enviroments Value:

During internship, after we the multimedia team done with field work, we will celebrate our work with eating at some restaurant and chatting casually to get to know each other better. It was a simple but a moment to enjoy as its tighten our bonds together as a team.

Felt Genuinely Involved:

During my internship, my team leader ask me to be a camera man during MSSM Livestream. It was the big camera that like you see in studios and news report. I feel very happy as I manage to get involved in an important role during our biggest events during that period. There I manage to learn how challenging the work as a broadcast camera man. I need to focus and be fast to follow the athlete movement to get a good shot. It was a very meaningful experience for me.

Action to take to actively involve team members

In my team working, we would:

Study each member skills and divide the task according to their respective filed

Set a due date for each progress

Make a daily meeting to present the progress.

Support the member that facing problems

Suttle Sign of Dysfunction

The cheerful smile faded from the most cheerful person in the office

Broken heart and start to be grumpy all the time

Start to come work late

Event that not goes as planned/expected. It didnt go as planned as I cant manage my time correctly, I cant even lead the team in one of the challenges we face and it led me to a mental breaks. In the end I leant that I need to improve my softskill before I can tackle the job to be in the leadership. For someone who an introvert like me, learning social is the key of improvement to keep me moving foward.

2 Negative Belief to Dispute

I easily get panic when doing things out my expertise => Keep calm and slowly learn to adapt to it

I easily forget things that I learn especially coding => Make a personal sticky notes/short notes and memorized it during my free time.

Diverse Perspective Led to Creative Solution

During my internship at the Unit Sumber Teknologi Pendidikan (USTP), I worked on a corporate video project where multiple perspectives resulted in a more creative and effective final product. Initially, I intended to create a straightforward formal movie, but my colleagues suggested adding behind-the-scenes footage, infographics, and appealing animations to make it more lively. By incorporating everyone's ideas and abilities, we created a final video that was more educational, visually appealing, and appropriate for many audiences, demonstrating the importance of cooperation and varied input.

2 Strengths to help team growth base on my MBTI Result

My MBTI Result

INFJ, shows I am kind, organized, and committed to helping others accomplish.

My 2 strengths to help me achieve this are:

Empathy

I can understand my teammates’ feelings and challenges, which helps create a supportive environment where everyone feels heard and valued.

Good at organizing ideas

I can break down complex tasks into clear, manageable steps, helping the team stay on track and reduce stress during tight deadlines.

Most enjoyable work environment :

During my internship, I found the most enjoyable work environment to be one that was positive, supportive, and open to collaboration. My supervisor often gave encouraging feedback such as “thank you” and “awesome” when tasks were done well, which made me feel appreciated and motivated. The team was also very open to hearing new ideas and suggestions, especially when solving problems. This kind of environment helped me grow in confidence, contribute actively, and enjoy the process of learning and working together.

During my internship, I felt truly involved in the team’s workflow. After attending a system testing meeting with my supervisor, I was assigned real tasks to perform testing on the system. I communicated directly with the development team to report issues and clarify requirements. Through this process, I managed to discover several bugs that needed to be fixed. We also explored using AI prompts to improve our test case generation, which helped boost testing efficiency. Being trusted with responsibilities and seeing my contributions make a real impact made the work environment highly motivating and enjoyable.

During my internship, one thing I would do to involve my team is to organize short team meetings where everyone can share updates, ideas, or challenges they're facing. I would also actively ask for their input during discussions and make sure their opinions are heard. This helps create an open and supportive environment where everyone feels involved and motivated to contribute.

Positive Work Environment:

One of the most enjoyable and positive team environments I experienced was during my internship. Although I was just an intern, the team (other frontend and backend engineers) genuinely included me in discussions and actively considered my opinions when suggesting improvements to the system. This made me feel valued and respected, which boosted my confidence. The key elements that contributed to this positive experience were open communication and mutual respect that encouraged collaboration and learning, regardless of job title or experience level.

Felt genuinely involved:

As I mentioned before, I felt genuinely involved when my senior engineer valued my opinion. Even though I’m an intern, he told me that he wanted to discuss things with me like “a proper engineer.” Instead of giving orders, he would often ask questions like, “What do you think is the best approach?” or “Which one do you think would work better?” This made me feel truly included in the project. In the end, I successfully completed a system that had been left unfinished for six months.

One thing to do to actively involve my team member:

Ask for their opinions, especially from those who remain quiet especially during meeting/discussion. Also, check if there's anything they don't understand, and ask which part or task they would like to take on. Confirm if they are comfortable with it.

Subtle signs of dysfunction:

Ignoring a colleague

People focus on look productive than actually being productive (stay late at work even though they did nothing throughout the day)

Constantly asking others to cover their work

Event whereby it does not go as expected:

During my internship, I was assigned to demonstrate the completed system I had developed. I had tested the system thoroughly on my local machine, and everything appeared to be working perfectly. The system also managed to be deployed to the pre-production environment. However, during the demonstration and in front of the director and several software engineers, a few unexpected errors appeared. It was quite embarrassing for me, especially since I had assumed the system was fully ready. I pointed out the issue to my supervisor, and he reassured me that it’s normal to encounter such problems, even when everything seems to be functioning correctly. It turned out the errors were caused by compatibility issues, as the server used a different operating system (Linux), as well as a few bugs that had gone unnoticed earlier.

From this experience, I learned the importance of testing in different environments to detect and resolve environment-specific issues before the system is used by end-users. I also learned to remain calm and professional under pressure, and to treat such situations as valuable learning opportunities rather than failures.

2 negative beliefs and its disputes:

Belief: I feel stupid when I don't know something that someone else already knows.
Dispute: It's okay not to know everything as everyone starts from somewhere. There are also things that I know that others may not. Learning is a continuous process, not a competition.

Belief: I am just an average person, and everyone else is better than me.
Dispute: Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, including me. Just because others excel in certain areas doesn't mean I'm less valuable. I have unique qualities, experiences, and potential that make me just as capable of achieving success like everyone else.

Diverse perspectives led to creative and effective solution:

During my internship, I was assigned to complete a system that hadn’t been touched for six months. Specifically, I was tasked with completing the leave application module for the Human Resource Management System. To make the system more interactive and improve the user experience, I suggested adding a section that displays public holidays to help staff plan their leave more effectively. Another intern suggested that instead of just adding a section, we could implement a large interactive calendar that displays all public holidays. This collaboration allowed us to demonstrate our creativity in improving the layout and overall user experience.

2 key personal strengths to help me grow:

Logician (INTP-T)

a) Quick to see patterns

Swiftly recognize hidden connections between ideas, enabling you to identify solutions that others may miss

b) Adaptability

Adjust comfortably to new information or changing circumstances, maintaining clarity even when others feel overwhelmed

During my internship, the work environment was very friendly and positive. I joined my colleagues for iftar at Padang Shah Alam, and it was a fun experience. I also received duit raya from my boss, which made me feel happy and appreciated.

Felt genuinely involved: I felt genuinely involved during my internship because I was given real tasks like working with actual data, building automation flows using N8N, and applying natural language processing using tools like Stanza and Mesolitica. It made me feel like part of the team.

asked my teammates for their ideas when we were building automation flows using N8N. I wanted to make sure we all agreed on the steps and tools to use. What matters is being honest, facing the issue, and trying to improve.

a) "I am not good enough compared to others."
Dispute:
This is not true. They created a welcoming atmosphere where I felt valued, not just for my work, but as part of the team. One memorable moment was when they brought me to a restaurant and allowed me to choose any food I wanted, as a gesture to thank me for my contribution. It made me feel truly recognized. On top of that, they gave me a sweater as a gift, which I really loved and still treasure. These thoughtful actions reflected a positive and caring work culture that made my internship experience meaningful and enjoyable.

What I enjoyed most was how friendly and welcoming everyone was, especially the media team in whom i worked with. The team made me feel like I was part of things, not just “the intern.” I could ask questions, share ideas, and actually get involved in real work, which made the whole experience so much more meaningful. The vibe was super chill but still professional people respected each other, helped each other out, and there was always some good energy around. It made learning and working way more enjoyable.

Felt Genuinely Involved:
There was also a time where I helped organise and clean up the media asset folders by tagging, sorting, and archiving files properly. It sounds simple, but it made a big difference for the team in terms of finding stuff quickly. I felt useful, especially when they thanked me for saving them a lot of time later on.

1 thing I can do to actively involve my team member is to let them share something they’re good at with the team like a tip, shortcut, or tool they use. Everyone seemed polite on the surface, but sometimes it felt like people were just agreeing to avoid conflict. At first, I thought it was just a normal “keep things smooth” vibe but looking back, it might’ve been a sign that not everyone felt comfortable speaking up.

An event that didn’t go as planned during my internship was one of the company events where we were setting up the AV system. We had everything prepared, but just before the event started, there was a tech issue, the projector wouldn’t connect properly, and the audio wasn’t syncing. It made us panic, and we had to quickly troubleshoot on the spot. It was stressful that time, but it also taught me how important it is to stay calm, think fast, and always have a backup plan :(

2 Negative belief to dispute:

Sometimes i think people don't really care about what i say.

most enjoyable/positive work environment:

During my internship, the most enjoyable and positive work environment was when I was assigned clear tasks with a set due date and given the space to complete them independently, without unnecessary monitoring or micromanagement. My colleagues were also supportive and ready to help whenever I needed assistance.

1 things to do to actively involved my team:

I will actively listen to my team members by giving them space to express their thoughts and suggestions without interruption. After understanding their perspectives, I will contribute my own ideas, offer constructive feedback, and help develop solutions together. This approach encourages open communication, builds trust, and makes everyone feel valued and involved in the process.

Event that did not go as planned/expected and what I learned from it:

I initially planned to secure an internship placement in Kuala Lumpur, but due to time constraints and family issues, I had to find a place closer to home. At first, I struggled to accept this because I really wanted the experience of working in a different environment. However, as time passed, I decided to go with the flow.

From this experience, I learned that even when things don’t go according to plan, it doesn’t mean they won’t work out well. Sometimes, situations feel difficult in the beginning, but if we trust the process, we can still grow and find value in them. In the end, I focused on enjoying my internship experience without overthinking or questioning my decisions.

2 Negative Beliefs to Dispute:

a) I talk too much when I feel happy.
– It's not a bad thing to express joy. I just need to be more aware of others during conversations and learn to balance my excitement. Being expressive is not a flaw — it's part of my personality.

b) I’m not good at English
– I used to feel this way, but after entering university, I started learning and practicing more. Now, I know that I can improve over time. It's not about being perfect — it's about progress.

diverse perspective led to creative solutions:

When I was in Semester 4, my team had to complete a project for our E-commerce subject. The task required us to explore a real industry and conduct a face-to-face interview. Initially, we planned to visit a nearby business close to our university. However, our lecturer advised us that the business was too small and encouraged us to find a more suitable company outside the area.

As students, we faced several challenges — we had limited time due to other assignments, and our budget was tight. Despite this, we came together as a team, shared our financial resources, and coordinated our schedules to find a time when everyone was available. In the end, through cooperation, planning, and supporting each other, we successfully conducted the interview and completed the project. This experience showed how teamwork and considering different ideas — like where to go, how to manage our time and money — led to a creative and practical solution.

2 strengths to help them grow(INFJ-T):

Empathy & Deep Understanding: Creates a supportive environment where each member feels heard and valued, boosting morale and trust.

Strong Communication Skills: Ensures that instructions, feedback, and discussions are constructive, reducing misunderstandings and promoting smooth collaboration.

It was such a fun, unforgettable moment that made me appreciate how supportive and enjoyable the work environment was.

Situation where I felt genuinely involved in a team decision and the impact it have in my engagement and the outcome:

During my internship, I was invited by my boss to attend a high-level meeting with big companies regarding current collaboration, which is a rare opportunity for someone at my level. Being part of such an important discussion made me feel genuinely involved and trusted, as I was included in internal preparations and later asked for my insights during the debrief. This experience significantly boosted my motivation and engagement, as I saw how my contributions, even as an intern, could add value. It also gave me a deeper understanding of how strategic partnerships are formed and strengthened my interest in the intersection of technology and business.

1 thing to do to actively involve in my team

One thing I can do to actively involve my team is to ask for their input during discussions and genuinely consider their ideas. This can be as simple as pausing to say, “What do you think about this approach?” or “Do you have any suggestions before we move forward?” It shows that I value their perspective and helps create a more collaborative environment.

subtle signs of dysfunction

Side conversations or private messages are frequent.
When important discussions or clarifications happen outside the group (e.g., via DMs), it can create gaps in team understanding and shows that people may not feel comfortable speaking up in the main group space.

event whereby it does not go as what have planned/expected

During my internship, I underestimated the complexity of a technical task that I thought would only take a day, but it ended up stretching into a week due to hidden dependencies and my limited understanding of certain frameworks. Instead of asking for help early on, I kept trying to solve it on my own, thinking I needed to prove my capability. This led to unnecessary delays and frustration. From this experience, I learned that it’s okay to ask questions, it doesn’t make you less capable, it shows initiative. I also learned to assess tasks more carefully and give more realistic time estimates by considering potential challenges and reaching out when I’m unsure.

2 negative beliefs and how to dispute

a) I believe that I’m a fool and don’t have skills.

How to dispute: Honestly, I’m being way too hard on myself. Just because I’m not where someone else is doesn’t mean I’m behind or useless. I should believe that I’ve got my own strengths, even if they’re still developing. Everyone learns at their own pace, and I don’t have to prove myself by matching someone else's path. I’m allowed to grow in my own way.

b) People will judge me if I speak up.

How to dispute: Yeah, maybe some people might have opinions, but honestly, I should believe that people are usually too busy thinking about themselves to judge me that hard. And even if they do, that’s on them, not me. I have every right to speak up and share what I think. The only way I’ll get better at it is by doing it anyway, little by little.

Diverse perspective led to creative solutions:

During my internship, while working on the UI design for the EV bus mobile app, my initial focus was mainly on the app’s core features, things like bus schedules, routes, and ticket info. However, after sharing the prototype with my team, they brought up an interesting point: instead of just showing basic transit data, why not use the app to also promote key highlights of the state, like local attractions and cultural spots? That idea completely shifted the direction of the design. It turned a simple bus app into something more engaging and meaningful for both locals and tourists. Thanks to input from team members with different backgrounds, I redesigned sections of the app to showcase top places in the area, making it not just a transport app but a smart travel companion. This experience taught me how diverse perspectives can bring creative value that goes beyond the original scope of a project.

2 strengths that help team grow:

My MBTI: Protagonist (ENFJ-T)

1. Empathy and Emotional Intelligence

I have a natural ability to understand how others feel, which helps me build strong relationships and communicate with care. This strength allows me to grow by learning from people’s perspectives, staying emotionally aware in difficult situations, and adapting my approach to different team dynamics. It also makes me a great collaborator and listener, which earns trust and support that helps me move forward.

2. Motivated by Purpose and Impact

I'm thrive when my work has meaning, I'm not just completing tasks, but I want to make a difference. This strong inner motivation pushes me to keep learning, improve myself, and go beyond what's expected. Because I'm driven by impact, I'm willing to take initiative, try new things, and lead with heart, even when challenges arise.

There was one time my result dropped. My performance in math continued to drop, hence I lost the confidence I used to have in that subject. Due to that, I didn't qualify for the accounting stream which something I really wanted. It changed everything. But now, I learned that failure doesn't mean the end. I may have taken a different path, but I'm still growing, learning, and maybe there's something better waiting for me and I'm starting to accept that.

Most enjoyable/positive work environment:

- During my internship, one of the best memories was when we celebrated Hari Raya at the office. We had a small gathering, played games, laughed a lot and the winners even got small gifts. It was really fun and made me feel like part of the team. On the last day, we also had a farewell meal. Then, about a week later, our supervisor suddenly invited everyone to eat outside together, even though all the interns had already finished. I felt really happy and appreciated. Even though I was just an intern, I felt truly welcomed. The teamwork and fun moments made the whole experience very meaningful for me.

Felt genuinely involved:

- During my internship, my supervisor entrusted me with the responsibility to create the database for the E-Hailing system. After that, I was also involved in a team meeting to discuss the design of the Admin Dashboard. I shared my ideas for the dashboard layout and the team agreed to use some of them. I felt really proud and more confident because I was trusted with an important part of the system and my opinions were valued. After completing the database, I shared it with my team to help them continue their parts. Being involved in both the task and the team decision made me feel more engaged and responsible for the project's success.

1 thing to do to actively involve my team:

- One way I can involve others more is during group discussions, especially when planning tasks.

Most enjoyable/positive work environment:

During my internship, we practiced open collaboration and mutual respect. Everyone supported each other and shared knowledge freely. It was easy to ask questions without feeling judged and that made the environment both positive and productive.

Felt genuinely involved:

I felt genuinely involved when my supervisor asked for my input during a team meeting. Even though I was just an intern, my suggestions were taken seriously, and one of my ideas was actually implemented in a small part of the project.

1 thing to do to actively involve my team:

One thing I would do is regularly check in with each team member and ask how they’re doing with their tasks. This shows that their work matters and gives them a chance to share concerns or ideas.

Subtle signs of dysfunction:

When some team members stopped giving updates or avoided meetings, it was usually a sign that something wasn’t going well. These subtle behaviors often hinted at miscommunication, stress, or lack of clarity about tasks.

Event that did not go as planned – What did I learn from it?

There was one task where I misinterpreted the instructions and ended up working in the wrong direction. Instead of getting upset, my supervisor helped me understand what went wrong. I learned that it's better to clarify instructions early than to assume and make bigger mistakes later.

2 Negative Beliefs to Dispute:

Being quiet doesn’t mean I can’t lead. Leadership comes in many styles, some of the best leaders listen more, think carefully, and lead by example. I’ve learned that confidence isn’t always loud, and my calm nature can actually help create a more thoughtful team environment.

Asking questions shows that I care about doing things correctly and want to learn. In fact, during my internship, I saw that those who asked questions often avoided mistakes and improved faster. Curiosity is a strength, not a weakness.

Diverse perspective led to creative solutions:

In a group project, each team member came from a different academic background. One person suggested using a visual timeline, which was something I hadn’t thought of. That idea helped us organize our work better and present it more clearly to the manager.
