The Ancient Egyptions believed that once you died, these gods would protect your organs through the underworld. Hapy was a baboon- headed god that protected the lungs. Duamutef was a jackal- faced god who protected the stomach. Qubehseneuf was a falcon- faced god who protected the intestines. The priests based their lives off of making the gods happy and purifying themselves to do so. They would bath in sacred lakes, shave off hair, and wash mouth with saltwater. They would sacrifice many things as well. They would be responsible for dressing, feeding, and bathing statues of the gods. </div>]]></description>
