Galileo used a telescope to support Copernicus's theory of the Heliocentric Theory. He wrote his findings in a book called the "Starry Messenger" and published it. The Catholic Church accused him of heresy and he went on trial. After being threatened with torture and death, he confessed that the ideas of Copernicus were false and was placed on house arrest for the rest of his life.

Johannes Kepler is a German Astronomer and mathematician who is known as the "founder of celestial mechanics". His most known findings is his 3 laws of planetary motion. His laws describes in what shape planets orbit the sun and formulas equating to time periods in the orbit. His findings were actually a great help to Isaac Newton because the ellipses indicate that a mass(the sun) attracts other masses(planets) due to the odd formation of the orbits caused from GRAVITATIONAL pull.

Isaac Newton was resting under an apple tree when one of the fruits fell on his head. Because of this, he began to study and founded the Law of Motion, including 3 laws describing the relationship between and object and forces moving against it. Through this investigation, he also began to study the calculus and made his own discoveries, which he called the Law of Mathematics, about which he wrote a book called Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica.

Nicolaus Copernicus

Nicolaus Copernicus explored the Heliocentric Theory and presented the first mathematical model in the 16th century. This theory stated that the earth was a planet, and alike to all the other planets, orbits around the sun. Before this, the Catholic Church was teaching in their education systems the theory of Geocentrism, which says that the earth, as the center of the universe, has the sun and all other planets orbiting around it. The Catholic Church did not like people making discoveries that go against their teaching, so Copernicus did not publish his findings, but instead instructed his family members to when he had passed away. This theory is still used in education and science to this day.

William Harvey was an English Physician who was the first to accurately record the way blood circulates throughout the body and how the heart pumps blood. He is most commonly known the the diagram he drew of him tying a persons arm to make the blood vessels pop, over time he did this multiple times and eventually knew enough to be able to make full diagrams of how blood circulates and the structure of the heart and veins and how they work. These finding moved anatomy and physiology forward by disproving multiple theories and leading to a better understanding of the human body and ideas for how to make medicine more efficient based on the way the blood flows.

Francis Bacon was an English philosopher and painter who invented the scientific method, also less commonly known that the Baconian method. This method is used all across the world, it's taught in basic classes and used by respected scientists, it may not be a complex and huge theory like Isaac Newton's laws of motion but it's by far the most important. He made an extremely large contribution to science by discovering this method because it helped late scientists learn and understand the natural world.
