1. What is matter? 2. What are some physical properties of matter that we can observe? Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass. Some of its properties can be magnetism, solubility, insulation, and conduction. 3. How does matter behave when placed in water? 4. What if it is stirred in water? How matter reacts when placed in water depends on their state of matter.Matter behaves in different ways based on their physical properties.Mater have two of the following properties: The ability to float or the ability to sink.If material is stirred in matter and appears to dissapear,it is soluble. If matter has the physical property of magnetism, it attracts to any magnet. Most magnetic tthings have iron.Matter is classified by their physical properties.Gas has no definite volume or shape.Liquid has no definite shape but definite volume.Solids have definite shape and volume.A material that has the ability to conduct heat and electricity is called a conductor. a object that has the ability to insulate heat and electricity is called an insulator.

1. What is sedimentary rock? Sedimentary rock is rock that is composed of millions of grains of sediment. They are compressed into rocks over millions of years with heat and pressure . 2. What are fossil fuels?Fossil fuels are fuels that are made from organic matter in the process of cementation and compaction. Some examples of fossil fuels are coal, oil and natural gas..People explore undergruond to find these fossil fuels.3. How is sedimentary rock involved in the formation of fossil fuels How sediments are involved is because when sedimentary rock is being formed, it presses down organic matter ,doing the force of cementation. The process takes millions of years.

1. What are some different forces that can change the Earth's surface? Some forces that can change the surface of the land is water , wind, gravity, ice ,nature, and chemicals.2. How can you describe and identify landforms like deltas, canyons, and sand dunes?3. How is wind, water,or ice involved in the formation of landforms? You can recognize deltas because they are triangle-shaped and made of sediment. The canyons are made by a flowing river that carve through the rock and mostly are brownish.Sand dunes are made from sand that has been piled up by the wind.

1. What are renewable resources and what makes them renewable? Renewable resources are resources that can be replenished quickly.2. What are nonrenewable resources and what makes them nonrenewable? Nonrewable resources are resource sthat can't be replenished quickly. 3. What are responsible decisions concerning the conservation of renewable and nonrenewable resources? To identify or classify renewable and nonrenewable resources from each other, you have to do some research.Conservation has to take place mostly on nonrenwable resources because once they are gone, they take a long time to appear again.

1. What is an ecosystem? What are the different parts of an ecosystem? An ecosystem is where living things and nonliving things are and they form a special relationship to help each other.2. How do the living components in an ecosystem support the other components? If you observe closely at an ecosystem, you will see that a lot of animals prey on other animals for food. This is called interdependecy. This happens when an organism depends on another organism or thing to survive. This interaction with the things or organisms in the ecosystem is interdependecy.

A inherited trait is different than a learned behavior because an inhereted trait is a ability or trait that a animal or plant gets from their parents or grandparents, while a learned behavior is a behavior that a parent teaches its young. 2.
