The website contains sections with subsections such as sport, business, environment, technology, arts, media and lifestyle. Features of the website include long running talkboards and recently a network of weblogs. A new comment section called 'Comment is free' is now the Opinion section.
https://www.theguardian.com/us
In terms of looks the US edition does not appear any different compared to the UK edition.

The visual presentation of the US’ and Australia’s websites are very similar to the UK edition however the content is different. The news stories, as expected, are personalised to each country and therefore the UK edition displays the news in the UK; US edition shows the US’s news stories; the Australian edition shows the news happening in Australia. Consequently, the stories featured on the homepage of the UK edition are about Boris Johnson and Brexit whilst the stories on the US’ homepage are about Donald Trump and the US government and the stories on the Australian homepage are about Australian Open 2018 (Tennis) and Australia Day.

There are the same number of main sections running along the top which are all the same colour and in the same font however the number of sub sections on each website is different: Under the News section the UK site has twelve subsections; the US site has nine and the Australian site has eleven. This is due to personalisation and to make sure the news is applicable for the country. For example, some of the sub sections are worded to the language of the country and some of them are more popular topics in that country: one of the sub sections on the US site is ‘soccer’ and one for Australia is ‘Indigenous Australia.’
By having different websites for different countries, a wider audience is created and a specific target audience can be more easily met. For example, it attracts Australians because the news is directed to them-the news is personalised (one of the twelve news values by Galtung and Ruge)

The International edition of the Guardian is very similar in terms of content and look, however there are ten sub sections under the section of news, because it displays a combination of news stories from all around the world. Therefore, there is no specific or target audience as the stories are aimed for everyone anywhere. This creates a wider audience and invites anyone to read as the news is not based on one country.
a

Twitter:
Each twitter site has a personalised logo to associate with the country but, other than that each edition looks incredibly similar. The news stories are different as they focus on the stories from each country.
Facebook:
Facebook is the same; each country's Facebook page has the same layout and similar content which has been personalised to that country and each country's logo is different. However, there is no Facebook page for The Guardian International; when typed into Facebook the UK site comes up.
Instagram:
The Guardian only has one Instagram account which is not personalised or directed to a specific country. The posts are non specific and general meaning the audience is wide.

The online version vs the printed version

The version of The Guardian mimics the print version as on the homepage of the website there is a main image and main headline which features on the front page of the print version.
Key words and phrases have been changed to a bold red font, presumably to catch the audience's attention, on the print version and so the online version has adapted this change too.
The online version has stories laid out in a column format on the right of the page which mimics the story displayed on the right side of the print version.
