I think social media does to some degree. More with a frequent use of it and especially for long periods. It can sometimes make an impact especially in one's mental health. Where it can sometimes help, it can also be a negative influence. All I can recommend is to take breaks, don't be on it for very long, and to limit yourself a bit. Or just look at things you like and nothing more.

social media has done some changes to a point. It has you thinking about being on social media all day everyday. I sometimes drift away from it or put my phone on DND so I won't mess with my phone for awhile.

I think social media does play a role in daily brain function. To some degree, it has become an addiction because as soon as I wake up I will open an app. I think it has impacted the way we see people and ourselves. I try to take breaks from social media as well as turning it off when it gets too late.

Social media effects us in multiple ways. Social media has become more normal so everyone has some form of it and our brains are still getting used to it. I feel that over time our brains will adjust the the effects of social media and it won't be as drastic. Personally, I use social media more entertainment and not "validation". If i need to I step back and focus on different things or a smaller group of people.
