They are amazing times you can recall when you feel sad or left out, especially during covid-19.

I would like to thank my Occipital Lobe, as it is responsible for my visual processing. Thank you for allowing me to see the world! I am thankful for this because vision is an important part of life - seeing my family, where I'm walking, different objects, if I'm injured, and seeing the beautiful world. All of these are things I'm very lucky to be able to see, so I would like to thank my Occipital Lobe for making that possible. :)

Thank you to my forebrain. It is a very resourceful part of my brain that has helped shape my life massively. Some of the major processes in my life such as understanding language, creating memories, coping with stress, growth and development and feeling sensations occur because of the forebrain. I really appreciate that it also helps in formulating my higher thinking and intelligence. I have been able to cope with difficult situations, come up with solutions and remember the lessons learned because of the forebrain. I am extremely thankful for its functions and all its inner parts (hypothalamus, thalamus, amygdala, and hippocampus).

I would like to thank my hindbrain! It involves the brainstem and cerebellum, both which have made significant impacts in my life. To start, the brainstem allowed me to sleep my problems away and is one of the reasons I'm alive because it controls my body's heart rate, breathing and digestion. The cerebellum is responsible for helping me stand up, do everyday tasks, move around and be able to get out of bed in the mornings. The hindbrain goes so unnoticed even though it plays a key factor in us existing today, so this is just some appreciation and thanks for the hindbrain!

Thank you, forebrain, for keeping my hunger under control and allowing me to sleep! I'm thankful for the experience I get to taste and discover different snacks, meals, and cuisines that bring me comfort. I wouldn't be able to eat my favourite foods like noodles and sour patch kids (not together, obviously) if I wasn't hungry!

I'm grateful that hunger and the ability to eat help my physical development and growth! I'm also grateful that my forebrain allows me to sleep and dream because without it, my emotions would be all over the place and I wouldn't be able to function, and I love sleeping, napping, anywhere, anytime! Another exciting aspect of sleep for which I am appreciative is the ability to dream while sleeping and create fun fantasies in my head! Thank you to the Hypothalamus in the forebrain in particular!

A massive thanks to my frontal lobe for functioning and allowing me to feel emotions, a working memory and problem solving skills. Without its function, I would pretty much be left helpless. I am glad that I am able to feel all the emotions, good or bad because that’s what makes me human. Not to mention the working memory aspect of the frontal lobe. I love being able to look back at my favorite moments in life and not being easily forgetful. There is so much more to say but thank you frontal lobe for all that you do.

Thank you to my frontal lobe for helping me function with everyday life such as my memory, emotions, problem-solving, social interaction, etc. The forebrain allows us to feel both positive and negative emotions such as happiness, gratitude, satisfaction, anger, jealousy, etc. These emotions will enable us to feel and live and drive our actions. Memory is an essential aspect of the brain as we cannot operate or think in the future if one does not have a memory of the past. Without the forebrain, I would not have any of these aspects and many more.
