The North and the South could have reached a stalemate saying that applied to the slavery problem and the land to the west.( Maybe limit the amount of slaves in each state &amp; divide the land to the west in a land lottery) </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Yes, the North and South should understand each others points of views instead of fighting to end slavery.  Everyone should know that they cannot divide.  I think there should have been a vote to see if slavery should end during that time.  No fighting should have been involved to end slavery or continue it. </div>]]></description>

When popular sovereignty came along it was a war to get the states either free or slave. They were too many problems that couldn't have been resolved</div>]]></description>
