The advantages of the president’s informal powers is that they are able to make executive orders that carry force of law. A disadvantage is that the President can decide to keep certain information from the public, courts, and congress. This can cause problems if the information gets leaked out. Another disadvantage is that the president can make international agreements without senate approval that people might not agree with. This will also cause problems.
