1. He is undecided because he isn't into politics or not informed of the candidates views. He doesn't know what is going on in this election and he should watch the debate so that he will be informed.

2. He is trying to show that most of the time the debates are boring and most people are either debating or have made their mind up about watching something else.

3. Because they are boring (this year as an exception). Most of the time the voter has made up their mind before the debates start. That or they just don't care about politics.

4. I think that they are kind of important because you get to see the candidates asked tough questions on the spot. That and it shows if they really believe in there views and aren't just making it up, because if they get asked a question and they controdict what they said before people are going to be confused and wonder how good they would be as a president.

5. Because even though most people don't watch them directly news channels are going to be there and if they aren't on their A game then that is going to be in the news and a lot more people watch the news.

1. He is undecided because he it looks like he is not completely informed about what is going on in the election this year. He is debating as to whether he should watch this and be informed or be entertained.
2. He is trying to say that most debates are relatively boring, so people would rather watch a tv show than keep informed about our next president.

3. Because, for the most part, they find them boring and have a hard time understanding them. You have to be relatively knowledgable about politics to fully understand all of policies and laws that the politicians reference. Therefore people either don't feel as if they have enough time to figure out what the candidates are saying or would rather just do something else.

4. Not only are they important for the small percentage of people who watch the debate to stay informed, but also the things said on debates appear elseware. The people who are watching aren't the only ones who are going to learn the candidates views. Popular television channels and websites will post articles (sometimes biased) about what occurred during the debate. Also, of course, we need some way to share the candidates views with others even if not everyone chooses to participate.

5. So that they can inform the public about their views and share their opinions in an effective manner that will convince the most people. Almost everything they say will be taken into consideration and it could decide whether someone votes for them or not. In news articles the writers may twist their words to make it seem like they are saying one thing when there are saying another. They need to be make themselves very understood during these debates. Therefore they want to be extremely meticulous when preparing for these debates if they want to win.

1. The voter is undecided because he looks like he doesn't really know or care about the canidates in the debate. If he had some interest in it he wouldn't be debating on watching it or a tv show.

2. I think the point the cartoonist was trying to make was that usually debates are uninteresting and a waste of his time.

3. I feel like some Americans just don't care. They think that watching a debate won't change their views or they don't like either canidate.

4. Even if most Americans don't view debates I think they are still very important to the politcal process. A debate could change the election depending on how close the two canidates are in votes. Debates either make or break you and for those undecided voters that could have a huge impact on who they are going to cast their vote for.

5.Most policitians need those undecided votes and they could get them if they nailed and did really well in a debate. During a debate they can also mudsling the other canidate which could lose votes for them.

1. He doesn't really seem to care. He is wondering whether he should watch the debate or an episode of a tv show that he had already seen.
2. He is trying to say that most political debates are very boring and that most Americans would rather watch a tv show than two people argue in front of a stage.
3. Because there is more exciting stuff to watch on tv. They might think that they know everything about the candidates so they don't need to watch the debates.
4. They are still important but they don't really know what they are voting for when they do vote.
5. They spend a lot of time because debating is an instrumental in getting people to vote for you. If they go into a debate unpracticed and just think of everything off of the top of their head, they will seem very unproffesional and nobody will vote for them.

He seems to not really care about Politics, but he also seems to not be very informed on the topic either. If he was informed about Politics, he would probably want to watch the debates.

2. He is trying to say that they aren't important, and that he would compare it to a rerun of King of Queens

3. I think that most Americans don't watch the debates because they don't know how to take the information in, and apply it to specific places in their own life.

4. They are very important to the political process because they would be considered Swing Votes. That meaning that they could be the few votes that can win or lose an election for a candidate.

5. They spend a lot of time preping for and participating in debates because they want to be able to get their point across for their party, Rebublican or Democrat. Debates are how candidates can win an election, also.

He is trying to say that debates are boring and need to become more interesting if people are going to continue watching them.
3. Becaue they are just people takling about issues that may not be important to viewers and are seen as boring
4. Debates are important because the people that do watch the debates inform the people around them about the points made and information gets passed on from one person to another.
5. They spend time preparing because the people who do wach the debate are really into polotics and the candidate needs to impress them.
