The Carbon Dioxide is used in plants to help the process of growth, the carbon becoming a part of the plant. When plants die, they can turn into fossil fuels made up of coals and oils for over a million years. When these fossil fuels are burned, they release carbon which quickly enters the atmosphere. The carbon is then absorbed by trees and plants and reproduced as oxygen.
