         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jen and I are still having trouble grouping kids for math and feel that the kids who are in the room for the entire block of time 12:00-12:30 don't need intervention but rather need enrichment on engage NY. So would we have to progress monitor these kids? If so, we don't have tools for that</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have done intervention in the classroom.  Depending on the activity, volume can increase and can be distracting for kids.  <br><br>I like Tonya's idea to have a form for the skill and  set a goal for students.  Once the skill is mastered, then the intervention goal changes or group changes. </div>]]></description>

We are working on beginning quantity discrimination in math and phoneme segmentation fluency in literacy for interventions and this is being monitored through the Dibels progress monitoring tools?  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned today we need to add more time for enrichment and targeted breaks for students using support staff. There is too much time being utilized for transition. Also some groups are going as long as half hour and losing the students attention. How long do you think a targeted intervention should be providing it is daily?<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In response to Bill's question, I think at the 3-5 level the half an hour intervention lessons work well to accomplish what we need for fluency and comprehension work, anything longer I feel would be too much, but there are systems like LLI that have lessons that are 40 minutes. I just modify it to fit 30 minute lessons. I do have other skills that get 15 -20 minute intervention time also.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>"How is taking the special educator from my math class to go and lead a reading group for a younger class enough manpower?" The student she is in here supporting has an IEP which states that the SE teacher will be in my room co-teaching for one hour each day for a total of five hours a week. Now it is down to 2 1/2 hours per week.</div><div><br></div><div>This is disheartening as a teacher to see much needed support taken away from my student.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Also the scenario you describe is not one that is sustainable or effective. If we are going to use special educators, Title 1 teachers&nbsp; and paraprofessionals to provide 1:1 Tier 1 services in large amounts of time we will need to hire more of those people and we are not even sure if that method is working.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Specials teachers at Fisher Elementary would like to access the MTSS process for a student in third grade.&nbsp; This student has a hard time in all specials and for the most part has decent behavior in his classroom.&nbsp; His behaviors are impacting his learning and we need to have a plan in place for specials.<br><br></div>]]></description>
