Day 2 Listening

I'd prefer using both authentic materials and coursebook. Because, first of all not to face with difficulties when talking to a foreigner, we are in need of using authentic materials to be able to closer to real life. Like series, songs, podcasts, films etc. can be used as authentic materials. On the other hand, we need coursebook to limit the preparation time and coursebooks are qualified materials to use. And also it is easy to give assignments. So i think, todays ideas developing more active Listening skills like Edpuzzle, can bu useful in my classes because you can add videos and questions to Listening parts as you wish. So, it allows you to use whatever topic you want.

Day 3 speaking
The most common problem in my district related to speaking is shyness. Students don't feel eager to speak. The best suggestion for this problem is to upgrade their confidence and giving some time for preparation. Also, using digitalisation in speaking can help us. For example, chatterkid app can be used in secondary classes to make speaking lessons enjoyable and confident.

Yes,I find ''Flipped Classroom'' useful for reading classes. Because, Flipped classroom can give us a chance to do more meaningful and creative activities inside the classroom and make students to go on working at home. And the idea that we can use the class time for extended follow up activities that we never have enough time for such as project work, writing responses etc. is one of the most useful solutions to our general problems in teaching reading.
I liked Melike-Çiğdem's ppt. Because it seems clear and has engaging activities related to reading topic. In my opinion, it can get students involved in the task.

I think in my local context product approach would be the most useful idea about writing instruction. Because, most of our students are weaker ones. So, they will need much support of the teacher. It'd be better to use model texts to mime for students. Because they are at early stages of English.
I think snack writing would take my colleques attention because it is fast and can be used any time in a lesson.

Day 6- Grammar and Vocabulary

GRAMMAR PART
In my opinion, guided discovery can work well and can be useful in my classrooms. Because when students find the new grammar points and the meaning help them to remember them easily and to reach an understanding in their own time that is an opportunity to weaker levels. Also, it makes the lesson more memorable and meaningful for all learners.
In my PDC meetings,my colleques may wonder and want to discuss about Loom presentation. Because it is an useful program to make lessons more enjoyable. So, it would be better to focus on it.
VOCABULARY PART
I think, Drilling activities are necessary and the most important vocabulary activities that we need in our area. Because by using them we can make our students to remember the new words more easily.
I would ask my students to include collocations-similar words and to make picture dictionaries. Both of these may be enjoyable and memorable for them.

Day 7- Assessment and PDCs

Assessment
In my local area, as teachers generally we only do formal assessment. Because our students need to be prepared for LGS exam. So, we can't find enough time to do informal assessment like peer or self assessment. And also as peer assessment takes much time, it is not an ideal solution for my local area. But, it would be so nice to be able to use it and make our students to see how they get used to self-assesment.
PDCs
I think the greatest benefit of being in a PDC is having a chance of sharing and discussing problems related to teaching English skills. So, getting together in a PDC can help us to discuss these problems and maybe find solutions for them. Also, PDC sessions in the programme has given us an idea about how to organize a meeting , how to conduct it and so on. We should be specific about topic, it needs to be measurable and achievable (at most 3 activites in one session), realistic and be time-bound. So when we do planning and conducting PCD sessions we need to be careful about these tips.
