Light makes the fur look white.<br>Polar Bear fur is made of 2 layers.<br>Polar Bears have black skin which absorbs heat and makes the bear warm.<br>Polar Bears are excellent swimmers.<br>&nbsp;Polar&nbsp; Bears paw are 12 inches wide and act like paddles when the bear swims.<br>Polar Bears have a 2-4 inch layer of fat that helps keep the bear warm in the harsh climate.<br>Polar Bear is the largest land carnivore.<br>&nbsp;Polar Bears are 8 feet tall.<br>Polar Bears outweigh the next largest bear the Kodiak Brown Bear.<br>The large size of the Polar Bear helps to take down and hunt strong animals&nbsp; like the walrus and beluga whale.<br>The Polar Bear habitat is the arctic.<br>Polar Bears live in parts of Russia,Norway,Greenland and Alaska.<br>80% of the Polar Bear population is in 1 country:Canada.<br>Polar Bears hunting grounds are sea ice which are floating pieces of thin ice.<br>Polar Bears are not in danger.....for now.<br>Only 22,000 to 31,000 are still in the&nbsp; wild.<br>This global warming may play a role by having 30% of the Polar Bear population decrease by the year 2050.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>When a baby Polar Bear is born the cub is a big as a guinea pig.&nbsp;<br>A cub is also blind.<br>The arctic sun never rises from months October to February.<br>When a cub plays you may think the cub is doing play for fun but actually the play teaches the cub to walk and run in the snow. The play also helps and teaches the cub to be strong.<br>Polar Bears have no other predators apart from humans.<br>When a Polar Bear makes a kill other arctic animals like the arctic tern and the&nbsp; arctic fox will be waiting to take the leftovers and eat whatever is left.Also the Polar Bear will crush the prey's<br>&nbsp;skull and drag it up and out of the water out of land.<br>The Polar Bear tries to not let the prey see it so the prey has no idea its right next to something trying to eat it because if the prey does see the Polar Bear the prey will get scared and try to get away.<br>Polar Bears have evolved to have a narrow skull and a long flexible neck.The narrow skull helps to stream line the body while the flexible neck helps to give the reach needed to bring the nose and mouth up for air.</div>]]></description>
