         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Deere invented the steel plow.  Before the steel plow, the iron plows were carried by oxen but they were too slow.  So John Deere invented the steel plow to be carried by horses so it would be faster.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Samuel Slater first got the idea for the slater and lowell mills when he went to Pawtucket.  He saw a mill that constantly broke down.  So he created a better version of a mill powered by water.  This would eventually lead to the creation of the slater and lowell mills.</div>]]></description>

Back then people didn't think much of it.  Children also worked on farms.  They were given wages to support their families.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Construction issues were abundant in city areas.  Buildings couldn't support the weight of the workers and machines.  Roads were poorly made and had tons of potholes.  And there were no sewers so sewage was everywhere.</div>]]></description>
