-Students are familiar with technology as they have grown up surrounded by it.
It is important to teach students technological skills for future careers. Today's jobs require basic technology knowledge such as: how to send emails, use Word, PowerPoint, etc. In order for students to flourish in their future jobs they must have basic technological knowledge.

-Online polls and questionnaires such as Kahoot give teachers instant feedback on how students performed. When taking a written test or quiz it may take some time for teachers to grade this. With an online test or quiz teachers can instantly see what topics students seem to struggle with. The entire class participates even those who often do not talk in class. Often students are afraid to speak up in class. This gives a chance for each student's voice to be heard.

-Many teachers do a flipped classroom. An example of this would be: students do an activity in class and watch the professor's lecture online. This tactic of a flipped classroom, has become more common in high school and college.

-Many classes are now online. Students are often given online assignments to complete for class. When busy or on vacation, if a teacher cannot make it to class they can assign an online assignment. There may also be times that students my not be able to meet in class because of extreme weather. If such a situation occurs, teachers can assign an online assignment related to topics discussed in class. Online classes could be helpful during the summer as many plan vacations. So it can be more convenient than driving all the way to the campus. One can simply assign homework and grade papers at the comfort from their home.

-Technology can aid in teaching a lesson to the classroom. Technology can make the lesson more fun and exciting. Some examples of this would be: Letter-land or ABC mouse. These programs give young learners a way to learn about basic skills such as: adding, subtracting, or even their ABC's. These programs give students a way to learn in a way that is comfortable for them as they have always been surrounded by technology.

-Many young students show signs of addiction to technology. They cannot make it a class period without looking on their phone to see the latest update on social media. Students often use phones in class when not permitted. Many learners often text their friends when they believe the teacher is not looking. Some students even listen to music during a lesson in class instead of engaging in the lesson. When using the computer in class, they may be playing games rather than doing what the teacher assigned. If the student finds the topic being taught uninteresting they often play on technology as a result.

-Students may not be engaged in the lesson. Students are able to do anything at the click of a button making it more difficult to keep them engaged in the lesson. Educators may have to use different tactics to keep students engaged in the lesson. As technology has made it more difficult to keep the attention of learners.

-Cyber bullying has become a more serious issue with the rise of technology. With more technology each year this will cause cyber bullying to rise. This is a serious issue as many young lives are taken each year due to cyber bullying. Technology has caused an increase in mental health issues such as depression. Cyber bullying can destroy a student's self esteem. Teachers need to be aware of this and respond appropriately.

-It is easy for students to cheat with an infinite amount of online sources. It is easy to copy and paste someone else's work. When students forget to do an assignment, they often copy from another source in hopes their teacher will not check to see if they plagiarized.Students can also share and copy their classmate's work easily. Many students share their assignments on Google Docs with one another.

-Learners are comfortable with technology as they use it in their daily lives. Using technology in class would increase learner engagement. It would also make class time more fun and exciting for students. With technology at their fingertips, students can also access new information quickly.

-Students are able to take online polls and questionnaires. It is fun for learners to compete against others in questionnaires like Kahoot. Classmates that are not as outspoken also can participate in these online polls. Students are often scared to speak up in class in fear of being judged. This gives them an opportunity to voice their opinion and answers.

-Technology helps prepare learners for future careers in this digital age. Teachers can give guidance on how to use technology responsibly. With proper guidance, students will realize the importance of their digital footprint.

-Using technology also gives the student some responsibility. As students are responsible for keeping up with their own technological device (most of which are expensive). If the school provides the technology, they are responsible for that as well.

-Technology can be a distraction to learners during class time. They are constantly tempted to look at their phones during a lesson. Learners may be playing games on the computer rather than doing what is assigned during class time. They may also be tempted to look on social media during class. These actions only hurt them when it comes time to test in class. As they were not completely focused on what was being taught. Students often feel that they are great multitasking. In reality, they would absorb the information much more efficiently if they would just solely focus on the lesson.

-Students today struggle with attention span. When using their phones they can switch between multiple apps. Technology allows us to have everything at the touch of a button. When learners are bored and do not find the lesson engaging they turn their attention to their phones. Making it more difficult for educators to capture the attention of the learners.

-Students today often lack critical thinking skills. They lack these skills because rather than actually thinking about a solution to a problem, learners simply look up the answers. Students often do not feel like taking the time to find the solution to a problem. It requires less effort to simply look up the answer. It is also easier for students to plagiarize. Students often copy and paste sources for homework assignments without properly citing it.

-Not all students have access to internet at home. Low income families may not be able to afford WiFi. WiFi can be costly to those that live in rural areas. One may say that students could simply stay after class to finish the assignment or they could go to the library to finish it. If the student is unable to drive this may cause issues. As parents may not be able to pick the student up after hours.
