In life...we never really know what journeys lie ahead of us. We always assume that out parental figures are the ones who bore us and raised us. But that can also be used as an altar to avoid the truth of the child. Just in spite of things, the figure of our own lives is just what we look at in the mirror. We stand, look ourselves up and down, and see what we can change. But then there are those...who conspire against themselves, to find the worst part of themselves, they never knew they had. It's the wishful, mysterious, and yet evil series of our lives that hold us to the high anarchies of the world. And that is where...the line of my story...begins.

My name is Pierre Waltz. I live in the small part of Mhare, residing in the northern part of our country, Mylindra. We are a mighty kingdom where King Linus and QUeen Jewal reign. King Linus' family has reigned over the land for many generations, and maybe even more to come. The townsfolk despise the King, for his father, former King Vincent has committed many murders and has been the standing source of wars throughout the histories we have learned in our school. The Queen was born and raised in the now-broken kingdom of Mezena. Mezena was conquered twenty years ago. King Vincent kidnapped Queen Precious and her daughter, Princess Jewal. Jewal was only sixteen years of age, when she was to be married to, at the time, Prince Linus. Who was the time of the age of nineteen years when he took the young princess for his own. It was then decided that King Vincent was to be rid of his crown and throne, and hand it to his eldest, now deceased son, John. With no Queen to be given to him, the Eldern LOrds of Vilmen Garden, home of the Elders and Maesters, decided to hand the crown and thrones, to the youngest and wedded son, Linus.

John was so furious with his father and youngest brother, that he conspired with the most dangerous gang in the kingdom of Mhare. The Flanders. The Flanders were so dangerous, the gang took less than half of the woodland part of our country for their own and raided the poorest of towns of our country. Raiding and raping the land, stealing all the livestock, riches, and women and children. Taking the young girls, and kill the men and young boys. Marrying the young girls and taking the women for whore and slaves. SO in the strong knowledge of all of this, John met with the head of the dangerous gang, VIlen Mourder. John wanted Vilen and his gang to capture both the Queen and princess, and do what the will with them, in hopes of the Eldern Lords making him king. Instead of his younger brother Linus. And so it was decided that Vilen and his gang would break into the castle, capture Queen Precious and Princess Jewal, kill them, and rid of the bodies so no one could find them. As they did best. But their plan wasn't as well executed as they thought it could have been.

Vilen and his gang had broken into the castle. And they did capture the QUeen. But never got to the princess. Prince Linus knew of his eldest brother's past attempts to kill off the ones he envied or wanted to steal the most precious things he held dear to him. Linus set nearly twenty guards outside of his princess' chambers and his own. Twenty of the finest guards in the royal army, ten to each room. All with different skills from each other. But the finest killers. Finer than VIlen mourder. Vilen and his men got the Queen. But the capture of the princess was unsuccessful. Vilen walked out with the Queen. But not his men. His men were killed by thee guards outside of the prince's chamber. They had mistaken his chamber for the princess' chamber. Vilen escaped before the royal army caught him for kidnapping the Queen. But no one had noticed she was missing until the next morning.

In the meantime, Prince John had a different plan in mind from Vilen Mourder. He was able to go "visit" the princess in her chambers. He told the guards outside of her chamber that he was summonsed to her for a conversation about her wedding day with his eldest brother. Not seeing the gray areas of his story, the guards let him into her chambers and he awaited for her. The princess was in her changing room, looking at Prince John with a startled look on her face. Taking a double take on him, realizing it was him, she had a feeling of relief it was him.

"John. What are you doing here?" She looked at him, speaking to him with worry and concern. She walked up to him and looked into his face. He looked back at her and shook his head, smirking. He grabbed her by her throat and took out his blade at his hip. Dragging her to her her bedside by her hair, he bent her over and took advantage of her, with his blade at her neck and her own hand over her mouth.

It was only hours after taking advantage of her, he cut her white, braided hair and left her tied to her bed. Opening her door, he killed the guards by slicing their throats and stabbing their livers before leaving for his own chambers.

The next morning was, it was Coronation and Wedding Day. Prince Linus, soon to be king in just a few hours, walks to his princess' chambers, only to find that the guards he assigned to her, were to be dead. In a panic, he runs to his princess' chambers and finds her bonded and injured. He runs to her bedside, cutting her of her bonds, and holding her in his arms, crying and yelling in fear for help. She opens her eyes and looks to see him, holding her and crying over her blood-ridden body. Smiling at him, she burrows her face in his chest and closes her eyes, holding onto the neck of his shirt, making sure he does not leave her side. In the awakening of their story, they were strangers to each other. Two teenagers forced into an arranged marriage. She was captured and taken from her home, now with a missing mother. He with a deranged family, and now a threat to him and his beloved princess. They both found comfort in each other. Almost safety in each other. And it brought them closer. The Elder Lords took the young princess to the healing maesters. They healed her of her wounds so she could prepare for her wedding and her coronation to be Queen.

After the wedding and coronation, Prince John fled the country. For his younger brother had grown suspicious of John. Prince John hasn't been seen since. Some think he is dead. Some think he is living in his own exile and fear.

Not even seven days later, the new Queen of Mhaer had found she was with child. But it wasn't Prince Linus' child. She knew it. He knew it. But she remembered the night Prince John came into her chambers that night before her coronation. He had raped her for hours that night and used her as his own whore. And he had given her that child growing inside her belly.

Thirty-nine weeks later, Queen Jewal had given birth to a little prince. The name of the little prince was never given to him. For she sent him away. She knew King Linus would never accept the little prince as his own blood, for he was his eldest brother's blood. Not his own. In the knowledge she had of that, she sent the little prince away, so he could live a life amongst the townsfolk, finding his own wisdom through his life. To be strong, healthy, and wise. And then maybe someday, somehow, she and her little prince, could reunite with one another and find comfort in their presence.

The little prince, snow of hair and milk of skin, had found his new home.

The little prince, snow of hair and milk of skin, had a new journey. Had a new challenge. Had a life that had so many opportunities to search for and take advantage of.

The little prince, snow of hair and milk of skin...

Only the gods know where he is...

And I am going to find him...

All of my live, I have lived in the heart and soul of the most barren part of Mylindra. None of the guards of the Royal Army take their stand here. It's home to traders, beggars, and even murderers. Over the past several years here in Mhare, many bodies have been either reported missing, found dead, or even found dismembered. We are also home to the strongest theory that Queen Precious had taken refuge here in my hometown but has not yet been seen. Some say she is in hiding. Some say she had stripped herself of her titles and started a new life, where no one could ever recognize her. But others say that she isn't even here. But I think differently about this matter.

I go to a small school of only two hundred kids. I'm in my ninth year of my studies and I have not seemed to find any answers to our history. So many versions of our historical bibles have been written throughout the centuries. And only one can be real and true. So I turn to the bibles for the descriptions of the Royal families. What their complexions were. Their past titles. Siblings. Nieces and nephews. Sons and daughters.

I turn to the fifteenth page of the bible named 'Mylindra Red Royals'.

King Vincent. Dirt of hair and beige of skin. King of Mylindra. Husband to Queen Chesnia. Father to John and Linus. Siblings to none. Son to late King Durmand and Queen Abigail. Red of blood.

Queen Chesnia. Fire of hair and milk of skin. Queen of Mylindra. Wife to King Vincent. Mother to John and Linus. Sibling to Princess Qwenthrith. Daughter to King Durmand and Queen Dhalia. Red of blood.

Prince Linus. Dirt of hair and beige of skin. Prince/King of Mylindra. Husband to Princess/Queen Jewal. Father to none. Sibling to Prince John. Son of King Vincent and Queen Chesnia. Red of blood.

Prince John. Dirt of hair and beige of skin. Prince of Mylindra. Husband to none. Father to none. Sibling to Prince/King Linus. Son of King Vincent and Queen Chesnia. Red of blood.

The next chapter of the bible reads 'Mylindra Silver Royals'. The type of history I love to read is this. The different types of Royal bloods that I have made their mark in our histories. However. The only two recorded thus far...is the most recent Silvers. Our Queens.

Queen Precious. Snow of hair and milk of skin. Queen of Mezena. Wife to none. Mother to Princess/Queen Jewal. Sibling to none. Daughter to King Braghi and Queen Raehn. Silver of blood.

Princess/Queen Jewal. Snow of hair and milk of skin. Princess of Mezena, Queen of Mylindra. Wife to King Linus. Mother to one <unknown>. Sibling to none. Daughter to Queen Precious and <unknown>. Silver of blood.

I read these names, back and forth. Reading about each and every Queen and King of this rich and so-called glorious country. It's somewhat confusing to me how there is no document of any further rulers or heirs. Only some of the previous rulers are written on these pages. My mission is to search more of the history of this land. The wars that were fought and the Kings and Queens of the past.

"Pierre?" I turn my head to see my best friend, Josef, with a great big grin on his face, walking towards me with his backpack over his right shoulder. "I thought that was you! You weren't in third period."

I look at him, turning in my seat slowly. I look down and nod, pulling my sleeves down on my arms.

"You alright, Pierre?" He asks me, kneeling in front of me, looking at me with a concerned look.

"I'm okay, Josef. Just reading. I forgot it was a school day." I look at him, smiling softly. He looks at me with such happiness, it kills me inside. "What did I miss at school today? Anything interesting happen that I should know about?" He jumps up, perked like a rabbit jumping out of its hole. He nods and pulls a seat out, setting his bag on the table, and scooting close to me.

"There was a murder that happened last night. One of the guys off of the Turney team got gutted in the south alleyway. By the tavern. No one knows who did it. No suspects were made, not even witnesses or testimonies. It's wild!" He looks at me with such worry and interest.

"Who was the guy?" I ask. Intrigued by who this boy is.

"Tye Coremen. Why?" He tried to make eye contact with me. But I look at the doorway and shake my head.

I look at Josef and nod. "Tye was a Silver blood."

He looks at me, eyes go wide and he shakes his head. "That can't be. He would have been caught and ha-" He stops and comes to realize what I was hinting at. I nod at him, turning to rest my elbows on the tabletop. I shake my head and play with my mother's ring I wear over my neck.

"He got murdered. Someone must have found out about his blood. If a Silver was in with the Crimson and Gold bloods...we would have known sooner and we would have helped him." I shake my head once more, I grab the bible and walk to a shelf. Josef jumps from his seat and trails behind me.

"Who do you think could have done it?" He whispers, trying to keep quiet. I look at him and place the book in a wedge between books, shaking my head.

"Inside job? Damned if we ever find out. But we can't let anyone find out that we have suspicions over this matter. The King will jump off his seven-winged horse and have our heads on a blood-ridden platter."

"But Pierre!" He grabs my wrist and looks at me, so energetic.

"Not a word." I look on either side of us and pull us both deeper into the aisle. "Don't say a word to anyone else. Promise me that. If they find out we kn-"

"I promise, Pierre Waltz. Not a word of the matter. You have my word." Josef grabs my hands and nods, giving me a smile of comfort. I smile back at him and nod.

My fears of losing my only friend haunt me. I have nightmares of losing my family to the King. He is generous. But oh above all of the snowflakes that land on the gravel ground of Mhare, he would do anything within his power to crush the rumors of the kingdom he so proudly rules over.

And Josef and I were the two, that was starting to get vaguely curious about this murder of Tye Coreman.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The murder of Tye Coreman has been on my mind every minute of the day since Josef had told me. I tried to make scenarios in my head about who may have done it. I tried to make up a list of suspects in my notebook. And all of the suspects...kids from school. My school is dangerous. It's known to be the worst school in the town district.

But it is what my mother can afford.

I walk onto the school property and look around to see that all of the kids are looking at me. Giving me a mixture of dirty and curious looks. I scan the crowd of kids on the front pasture of the school. To see if anything would give me answers to everyone acting so strange. But nothing caught my eye that would help me dictate what the reasoning behind this could be.

"Are you Pierre Waltz?" I hear a small and soft voice behind me, like soft rain. I turn around to find a fire-haired girl, with a bow to hold her ponytail. Small in height and milk of skin. I look at her and nod, giving a soft smile to the girl. She is wearing a floral dress, net tights, and black combat boots with a red sweater.

"I was hoping I would find you here. I'm Coree Blossom. Can we speak? Alone?" Quietly asking me, she looks around to see everyone glaring over at us. I look around and nod.

"Yes. Please." I let out a little laugh, nervous about the conversation I was about to have with her. Coree Blossom leads the way to the doors of the school building as I trail closely behind her. She takes hold of the knob of the door and looks back at me.

"Keep calm, Waltz." She looks me dead in the eyes and swings the door open. I look at her, confused as to what she had meant by that. I follow her once again as she leads the way through the doors. A mixture of students, teachers, and publicists rush in my direction, closing in on me like vultures finding fresh road kill. I tense up, coming to a stop in my tracks. I look to Coree and shake my head, nervous. Afraid. Pressured.

"Mr. Waltz!"

"Pierre! Do you have anything to say?"

"Pierre Waltz! Mr. Waltz! Is Queen Jewal your mother?"

Hundreds of people surround me, yelling out questions. Accusations. Statements. Threats and quotes. Making me feel like a new toy that are all trying to get a fair use out of. A shiny...new toy. Coree notices my shock and stands in front of me, placing her hands on my face to make me look into her eyes.

"It's going to be okay. Just keeping walking. Look at me. And breathe, Pierre." She tries to calm me down and I breathe heavily. Feeling suffocated, I look around the group of people. Holding microphones, cameras, and notepads in my face. Hovering over each other to get the first word to come out of my mouth. I shake my head, continuing to look at Coree. She keeps hold of my hand trying to pull me through the crowd but I stay still. Forgetting how to walk. Forgetting how to breathe. I feel myself getting dizzy. Weak to my stomach. I look at Coree again and shake my head continuously.

"Pierre, breathe!" She grabs my face and I shake my head more. I knell down and break down into tears. I lay down and look at the ceiling, feeling cold and heartbroken. Coree kneels next to me, wiping my tears away. She pulls me close to her body and kisses my head. I shake my head and close my eyes.

"Go away! Go away! Leave me alone! Go away!" I yell at the top of my lungs. But the crowd doesn't go away. They won't quit with their words. Never letting down their guard to tear me away from myself. Coree hides my face away from the camera, making it impossible for the cameras to catch a glimpse of me. Of my complexions. My skeletal face.

Coree runs her hand over my braided hair and attempts to calm me down. I start to become calm to her touch. Like she is using power against me to make me feel safe...and to my surprise...I enjoyed it. I close my eyes and feel my body start to relax as if I was falling into a night's sleep.

There was no sound...

There was no light...

Just silence.

Pure...strong...silence.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wake up to find myself lying on a bed in a white room. One window with a fog sight through it. The blue curtains were tied with a red ribbon on either side of the window and a desk was set in front. A small lamp had taken a stand near the table's edge and a cup of old pencils and pens next to it. And to finish the view, a stack of yellow-tinted papers and a rickety old chair pulled out halfway.

I sit up, looking around the room. Pictures of the human body, broken down in a million ways. Pictures of a small family that looked as if they were taken hundreds of years ago. A vase of black dahlias and roses. A bowl with a goldfish and a cage with a blue bird with black eyes.
