I enjoyed the trip to heritage places in Singapore. It brought back nice childhood memories. I also enjoyed the slide show shared by Mr Chan and shared his sentiments that we cannot impose our opinions and past experiences on my students. We need to re-look at how we to reach out to the new generation with great exposure to social media and exciting instant experiences.

I enjoy spending a little time with my colleagues.. a little nostalgic plc that all of us relate.
I feel that all of us should be thankful and grate to be born n raise in Singapore. Although we have not much of resources, we always stand strong together.. People around us makes us complete.

As both an educator & parent, it is important that we are able to give a sense of hope to our children as they are facing the VUCA world. Young people, in general, feel a sense of hopelessness as they are worried about finding & securing jobs out there. What's important is their dispositions towards work & life which makes the teaching of values such as resilience so crucial as nobody will know what the future holds. It's only with a positive growth mindset & a will to act that we can thrive in our ever-changing world.

It is so easy to push the problem to them by saying that if we have fought and come through for our generation, the next generation can do it too.

It is important for us as educators to be aware of current contenporary issues. This will help us to facilitate discussions in the classroom should such issues be raised as this is key to us bringing across the idea of it being alright to agree to disagree and yet remain united in our sense of belonging, albeit our diverse backgrounds.

I’m glad for the staff bonding as we moved around together to look for places of interest. Not only was it fun but the discussions and opinions shared helped us to understand one another’s views.
