Whole School Power Disruption

The impact was good but there were some lower primary students who were wondering what happened. It is good that SENOs were there to support.

The TDD activities were a great way to engage with the topic in a hands-on manner. I liked how students could immediately apply the concepts we talked about, which made it easier to grasp the key ideas.

A lot of students felt the activities were helpful in connecting theory with real-world applications, and they appreciated the collaborative nature of the tasks.

We can incorporate more activities where students can share their personal stories and experiences related to national identity. This would allow them to hear different perspectives and help develop empathy, fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities of national identity.

The older pupils were startled at first but immediately understood the importance of defence in power disruption. They remained calm and waited for instructions. The younger ones thought it was fun and clapped as it was their first experience of such disruption in whole school

Reiterated the importance of the 6 defences and the roles of each individual. Pupils were able to relate more to food and power disruptions.

The P4 pupils were able to share the thoughts on the 6 defences.

All the pupils understand the role that each individual could play in an emergency. They rode on Run, Hide,Tell and stay calm and positive to help those who fet confused and stressed

Some P1 children were anxious and worrried. Needed time to explain the significance of the power outage. Good if teachers and students (international) to relate their experiences if any.

Good learning experience to do the puzzle on the 6 pillars of Total Defence. Insufficient time for most of the children to try out the puzzles, Is it possible to have more stations at the canteen to accommodate more students for the activity?

Activities were interesting. Video clip on all the activities conducted during the 2 weeks of TDD commemoration was useful to showcase and for children to remember. SLL activity for lower primary was suitable for their level.
