I found out that in my life, I have been missing a lot of chances to learn new things and achieve something in my life. I usually lack the initiative to start trying something new or something that I find interesting. This is because I think that I'm not going to do well with it and don't want to let myself be under pressure. After reading this quote, I finally realize that it's normal to try new things even if I know that I might fail, I still get to learn something from it.

This quote is related to me because I found that I've been taking a long period of time to make a single decision and always look into the past mistakes that I have made which stick to my head and feel regret about it. I'm afraid of failing or making the wrong decisions in my life and feel like I'm stuck in the past while my life still goes on. Time passed and I didn't step forward. This quote really inspires me and influences my perspective of life, telling me that I need to move forward and forget the mistakes that passed.

I believe in this because it is how I define success and happiness in my own life. However, after reading this quote, I've come to realize that my friendships and family relationships aren't particularly close. I think it is time for me to spend more time with them rather than being independent because if I have good relationships with them, they will be the people who will help me get through the challenges and problems.

John Green - What do I do with my life?

After watching John Green’s video, I remembered John Green stated that: "One of the reasons you're so terrified of figuring out what you're going to do with your life is that you think you're only going to be able to do one thing! Like if someone told you that in four years you were going to pick one musical note to listen to for the rest of your life, you would spend a lot of time being super anxious about which note to pick and the various tonal qualities of different notes. But that’s not what life is like! You will always be figuring out what to do with your life, and you'll get to do lots of different things, and your decisions will be unmade by circumstance." This quote changes my perspective and outlook on life. From the time I was a young kid until now, I've always felt that all I need to do when I grow up is to get a job and work until the day I retire. But after knowing that I can do different things and have different careers in my life is completely life-changing for me. I also learned that it's entirely normal not to stick to a plan all the time. Sometimes, I need to have different careers in my life to reach success.

Moreover, another quote that makes that I’m connected within the video is "Each time I made a decision, my options narrowed; if you don't make a decision, the options still narrow!". This quote means a lot to me because whenever I want to do something, I usually think about it and hesitate to see if I'll regret it later. In the end, I always miss out on opportunities and feel bad about myself. For example, if I wanted to join a basketball team, I used to fear that I would be the one who would be cut due to my lack of ability. Later on, the team was full as a result of my hesitation, and I was angry about myself. This problem continued until I saw John Green's video; his quote on making decisions completely changed my perspective on the decisions I need to make in order to go forward in my life.

Lastly, at the end of the video, John Green also stated that "Try to surround yourself with people you like and make cool stuff with them. What you do isn't going to be nearly as interesting or important as who you do with it". This quote connects with me since I've always thought of myself as an introvert who takes great pride in my accomplishments. This quote, I believe, totally changed my outlook on my relationships and things that I valued around me. After listening to this quote, I found out that my accomplishments are not as significant as the relationships and values that I developed throughout my life.

Transferable skills can use in my job

3 Transferable Skills (Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship; Technology Fluency; Critical Thinking and Problem Solving)

Innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, as well as technology fluency, are some of the transferable skills I believe will be valuable in my career and life journey which will help me attain my goals easier. Being creative and innovative can help me in becoming a successful software engineer because if I can convey my ideas in my work, I will be able to create excellent software that will benefit me in a variety of ways. This skill also demands me to be innovative in order to develop improvements that others have never considered, and these ideas will continue to grow and improve every day. I need to learn more about other people's perspectives and ideas to create something new. By doing so, I am able to expand my knowledge and improve my coding skills.

Furthermore, as we enter the technological era, and my future dream job is to become a software engineer, I need to be familiar with technologies and understand how they work. This skill can also assist me in communicating with others and collaborating with them through online applications which can help me learn things from them that I didn't know before. I can achieve this by learning more about code and networks, which is something I'm doing at home right now to prepare for the future.

Finally, critical thinking and problem-solving are some of my strongest skills, and they will greatly benefit me in my job because when problems arise in coding, I will always have a different strategy than everyone else, which could be faster. For example, if there is a system error, critical thinking can assist me in identifying the errors, what goes wrong, and how to correct them. Furthermore, I always have plans and ideas to ensure that everything goes in the right direction. If the plan doesn't go as anticipated, I can immediately come up with a strategy to get the situation back on track, no matter how difficult or time-consuming it will be. Some training and frequent application of the skills may be required to further enhance these abilities.

Software Engineer
My future dream job is to become a software engineer. Software engineering is a branch of computer science that deals with the design and implementation of computer systems and applications software. Computer systems software is made up of applications that include operating systems and computer utilities. Web browsers, database programs, and other user-focused tools are examples of applications software. When working with a client, a software engineer will often analyze the client's requirements before designing, testing, and developing software to meet those requirements. They are experts in computing systems, software architecture, and understanding hardware constraints. Moreover, they usually work with diagrams, flowcharts, and algorithms to instruct the computer.
