      <description>After securing his nursing degree from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, Canice Chukwuocha relocated to Texas, where he studied pre-medicine at Houston Community College and biological sciences at Texas Southern University. While attending Texas Southern, he completed the Medical School Familiarization Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Canice Chukwuocha earned his bachelor of science magna cum laude and then returned to the Caribbean for a number of years, obtaining his doctor of medicine from the Ross University School of in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Canice Chukwuocha has served as a general medical doctor with Hima San Pablo Hospital in Fajado, Puerto Rico, and a registered nurse with numerous healthcare centers, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and home health organizations in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Chukwuocha has also volunteered to provide medical treatment and education to populations in need in Nigeria and Tanzania, Africa. This mission work ranged from providing blood pressure and diabetes screening to spearheading malaria prevention measures.</description>
