         <description><![CDATA[<div>This project was inspired by the purple hydrangea bush in my grandparents' front yard. Their address is 6811, hence the title of my piece. I cut many small sections in the project to capture the complexity of the bush, such as the layers of leaves. The overall piece is made of varying thicknesses of paper: tag board, card stock, and tissue paper. Dimension is added to flowers by the natural gaps in the crumpled tissue paper behind each. The color scheme is meant to exude tranquility, a feeling my family and I associate with Nana and Pop-pop's house. (2018)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This plaster sculpture is meant to become a fountain sometime in the near future. Each side looks the same and the curved motion of each vertical wave portrays the languid movements of water. The tops of each are curved in the classic water droplet fashion. Inside the piece, the plaster is left rocky because (a) I like the way that it looks, and (b) it represents the earth and rocks from which natural fountains come from.
