I think that using musical videos in the classroom are great. I am observing a third grade class this semester and the teacher uses musical videos and they seem to help to keep the students engaged and help them to learn the material faster!

Music is great to incorporate into the classroom. Sometimes catchy musical videos help students understand a subject better than just hearing it spoke. A catchy tune can stick with you and make them actually learn the material rather than just memorizing it. This is a musical video over the states and capitals. I think this video is awesome!

Songs can definitely help a student memorize a lesson in any topic. There are songs that help memorize the electromagnetic spectrum, the 50 states, and I remember the order of the planets by song. Let's not forget the alphabet song!

Here is a great example of how musical videos can help students learn. This particular video teaches students about the alphabet and individual letters. I think a lot of younger students especially probably learn well from hearing information through song. Information is probably a lot easier for them to remember that way, especially if their parents have already introduced them to music and singing.
