💃 Foundational Dance Skills

In our pre-school classes, children begin learning basic movement skills such as hopping, skipping, leaping, marching, jumping, galloping, and chasse-ing. These movements not only help improve coordination and balance but also support overall motor skill development in a fun and playful way.

They are gently introduced to simple ballet vocabulary like plié, relevé, tendu, passé, and bourrées in parallel position. Learning these terms gives them a foundation for future dance training while making them feel like true dancers from day one.

🥁 Rhythm, Wellness, and Confidence

Children also begin to understand and feel rhythm through activities like clapping, tapping, drumming, and moving to music in quarter-note time. These rhythm exercises enhance timing, listening, and musicality — all essential parts of dance.
